Excellent Ski Apartment within 100 metres of the main Planai Gondola. LUXURY, modern, spacious, 4 bedroomed Ski apartment. EXCELLENT LOCATION, within a 1 minute walk to the main Planai gondola in central Schladming which was totally rebuilt during summer 2010 - now Planet Planai, and the cafes and square of Schladming. Within 100 metres of the famous January Night Race. <BR><BR>Beautiful old style town, with character restaurants and cafes.<BR>Preparatiomns are now well under way, with many updated facilities, for the WM 2013 Championships Excellent SKI and summer location. Perfect for beginners and advanced skiers, children or elderly couples, as all easy access. Many guests have commented about the superb location and have already booked to return to us next year. Well appointed apartment - excellent location
This apartment is spacious, modern, well appointed and is just yards from the main lift station. It offers four good sized bedrooms and a large lounge/kitchen.
The apartment is on the ground floor so the views are almost non-existent, and the design of the apartment is such that all of the bedrooms are around the outside so the main living area does not have any windows or balcony.
The few niggles are: (1) the apartment sleeps eight, but there is only glassware for around four - this would be any easy thing to rectify (2) the rental includes four dishwasher tablets - why not include one per day (3) the Sauna is not free of charge (4) there is only "comfy" seating for two persons - everyone else has to sit around the dining table.
Apart from that, this is a first class apartment and makes for a very comfortable stay,

Nice Apartment, Super Location
A great apartment, and an enjoyable ski trip. The accommodation agents were very friendly and helpful throughout our week.
The good:
Spacious rooms, enough for 8 comfortable adults
Good quality decoration and furnishings
Well equipped kitchen (but see below)
Fantastic location, one minute walk from shops, bars and ski base
The bad:
A few kitchen essentials missing: no kettle, no knives capable of cutting, no peeler
Frosted glass wall of one bedroom means little darkness at night
Not enough comfortable seating
No instructions on controlling heating, or using hob (it took us a while to figure it out)

Perfect location
Stayed at Apartment Andante 18/01/2020 to 25/01/2020 it’s in the most amazing location with perfect decor & very comfortable beds , with all amenities needed to hand .
With the planai gondola less than 100 mtrs & a local Billa to boast.
With a ski Amadé pass Schladming is an amazing ski area with first class runs .
Our group of eight would love to return in the near future & would highly recommend this perfect apartment

Schladming is a bustling market town with pavement cafes and lots of restaurants of all kinds. At the base of the Planai the connected 4 mountain ski area is easily accessible from the apartment. Being part of the Ski Amade alliance the area boasts 860 km of piste on 1 lift pass and nearly 46 mountain restaurants in the Schladming area alone. <BR><BR>In summer the area is buzzing with walkers, cyclists, climbers. Now includes The Summercard, for many free activities. Still some availability for September and October. Lake swimming and horse riding are nearby and for the more adventurous canyoning, rafting and paragliding are popular sports. Just 15 km away the Dachstein Glacier (2700) metres) offers year round snow.<BR>Activities in summer include walking, hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking and cycling, rock climbing, swimming, horseback riding. Winter activities include alpine skiing, cross country skiing, winterwalking, snowshoeing, ski mountaineering, freeskiing, snowboarding, horse sleigh rides Cross country tracks are easily accessible within 5 min.<BR><BR>Summer activities for all age groups. Guided mountain tours. Easygoing walks. Nature trails for children. Mountain lodges and restaurants offering local food.<BR><BR>Winter activities for all age groups. Ski mountaineering: glacier crossing - a 20 km free skiing experience, also for intermediate skiers, with guide. Children's ski playgrounds Cross country skiing - 200 km of tracks in all levels of difficulty. Classic and freestyle. Winter walking paths from the plateau up to the Alm region. Snowshoeing - guided tours. Horse sleigh rides. Toboggan runs, also illuminated tracks. We are in the middle of Ski Amade with more than 800 km of downhill slopes for Alpine skiing. Christmas Market in December in Schladming and of course, in Salzburg!

There is now a new winter route from Bristol to Salzburg with Easyjet.<BR><BR>Schladming is easily accessible by train from Salzburg which also has all the usual car hire companies. train times and prices from Salzburg to Schladming - oebb.at<BR>Private taxi - Taxi maxi - +43 (0) 3687 /222 22<BR><BR>Several bus companies run a budget service to Schladming one for as little as 42 Euros return from Salzburg www.reisen-habersatter.at - you can pre-book this for a guaranteed place. <BR><BR>If you intend driving it takes approximately 10 hours from Calais to Schladming. Munich airport - 235km which is 2.5 hours, Linz airport approx 2 hours and Graz airport 2hrs.<BR><BR>It may be possible to arrange private transfers through our representatives in Schladming
