Recently converted with lovely Oak beams in area of outstanding natural beauty. Under floor heating. Large family garden. Hard tennis court. Gated Parking. The second bedroom double bed can be converted to 2 singles. Well trained Dogs allowed for £5 per night. Children welcome, gated pond in garden so supervison needed. Convenient for Chartwell, Leeds Castle, Knole, Bodium castle, Thorpe Park and London. Available weekly Friday to Fridays.

Great place to stay with easy access to the coast and countryside
The barn is beautifully converted and in wonderful surroundings. You can walk five minutes and be in a place where you cannot see another house. The barn offers comfy and stylish accommodation for up to four people and is a recent conversion. Chris and Ann are great hosts and will help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Tunbridge Wells is a few minutes away by car, the coast around half an hour and there are many beautiful walks and cycle routes in the surrounding countryside. Pembury Village is a 5 minute walk away, and the Black Horse is a friendly local with good food.

Old Cart Shed Pembury
This is perfect for me with 2 dogs and wonderful open countryside to walk. The shed is a very well restored listed barn. Quite bijou and need to be agile as a few stairs and steps. The facilities are first class, excellent bathrooms and comfy beds. Everything you need for a short or long stay in the kitchen. It’s close to the historic town of Tunbridge Wells and easy to get but note it’s very secure with 2 electric gates to access the private lane and then the barn.
I highly recommend the barn for easy access to all of Kent and Sussex country side as well as the A21 and M25. Rail services to London are very frequent. The barn has good parking for 2 cars. The owners are very helpful and always willing to fix any minor issues. They have 2 beautiful golden retrievers and don’t come here if you don’t like dogs! I stayed for 5 weeks as my new home was not ready. Finally it is a joy to be here.

About the neighborhood
The barn is in an area as being of outstanding natural beauty. There are several country walks from the front door.
Pembury village is a 500 yard walk or drive away. It has 3 pub restaurants, (we like the Black Hose). There are also 3 takeaway -s Chinese, Indian and Fish and chips.
The Pembury Mercure hotel has a restaurant and nice indoor heated pool that is open to the public and usually not crowded.
London is a 40 minute train journey from Tonbridge Station.
Hever, Scotney, Bodium, and Leeds Castles are within an hour's drive. Canterbury and Rochester Cathedral are beautiful. Winston Churchill's home Chartwell is well worth a visit.
For children: Pembury Park is quite good while Thorpe Park and Chessington are full on days out.
Getting around
There is a bus service to Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone and Tonbridge Station is a 12 minute drive away. Local walks are lovely and taxis available but a car makes travel easy.
