The Beach Apartment is the perfect place to unwind and also has a selection of restaurants; coffee houses and public houses in a short walking distance. Pier Point is situated right at the beginning/ end of the famous C2C cycle route. With safe off road cycling for miles in both directions - along the coast northward or along the riverside into the city centre. The Beach Apartment is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline . It is only short drive from Durham`s historic centre; Beamish Open Air Museum; Gateshead Metro Centre ; Newcastle`s City Centre and a number of historic National Trust Sites . The National Glass Centre Museum and art (free admission), is a short walk away along the riverside as is the picturesque marina and Souter Lighthouse ( National Trust). The Apartment is in an unrivalled position to watch the Sunderland International Air show ( End July) where the worlds best aerobatic displays take place over Roker and Seaburn beaches. A Marine Activity centre sits next door to the apartment offering group and individual sessions in sea kayaking;canoeing; surfing ;power boating, etc. Roker pier and the marina are popular locations for sea fishing. Enjoyed 5 days here in a first class apartment looking over Roker beach. Everything was first class even a great fan to cool us down as the weather was fantastic. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay in this gorgoeus, all mod cons, clean well serviced apartment. Lovely stay with additional extras,bottle of wine, milk and Easter eggs! Lovely hospitality from Alan including extra generosity with departure time beautifil apartjent, so tastefully decorated, excellent view, warm,comfy beds, lovely hot shower, all mod con kitchen with all the essentials included! Will be booking again, thank you!!

An absolutely lovely apartment. Clean, stylishly furnished, well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Modern bathroom and comfy beds. The view from the sitting room is fantastic, lovely to sit in the french windows just watching the sea and the world go by. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and hope to return myself soon.

One of the cleanest, well equipped places I have ever stayed in . It’s so spacious and yet so homely and extra touches such as bubbly n biscuits were really appreciated. The binoculars came in handy for the twice we had the pleasure of watching 4 dolphins playing together between the piers . Sitting watching the sea and world go by from the lounge has been fantastic. Can highly recommend the fish n chip shop below , Marina Vista doe both eat in and takeaway and Lilys - wow the cakes are unbelievable. So many places to visit near by - the fair at South Shields was a firm favourite of our teenage daughters and one of the most relaxing uk holidays ever . Just hoping we can come again .

The apartment is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants in close proximity. The views of the beach and Roker lighthouse make this property extra special. We will definitely be returning.

Spent a week in this apartment which on arrival didn’t disappoint. Spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable beds and furniture with all the utensils you would need. A lot of thought had been put into making this a comfortable holiday home. Lovely view out to sea and the lighthouse. Easy walk along the front in either direction. Also Roker Park 5 minutes away. Restaurants within walking distance. Couldn’t ask for more and thank you Alan for the milk, biscuits and bubbly. A nice touch when you need a drink after travelling. We will be back in the future.

It was everything and more than we could imagine. Spotlessly clean, everything we could need, so many extra things eg. Binoculars. The view was to die for. Just sat every night looking at the sea. Can’t fault one thing. Parking close by in allocated spot. Will definitely be returning and recommend to everyone. Most wonderful place we have ever stayed.
