Our prestige Buckland Lodge, located in Finlake sits on the edge of South Devon. This utopia is tucked away amongst the scenic coastlines of South Devon. Running parallel to the breathing taking views Dartmoor has to offer, but there is only a 15-minute drive to the quaint historic market town of Newton Abbot and a 15-minute drive to the regions capital Exeter and just 40-minutes to the Ocean City of Plymouth.

Interaction with guests:Â We are laid back and try not to disturb your holiday. A welcome pack is sent to you approximately 3 weeks prior to arrival which contains full details for your stay. The key is accessed via a key safe near the property.
Of course, if you need us, we are on hand 24/7 for emergencies and during office hours for any other queries we can assist with.
My family and I had a wonderful time, there is something for everyone, the lodge has everything you need it's very well equipped, my sons and my husband took advantage of the hot tub every evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a very relaxing holiday and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful Lodge Stay
The lodge itself is clean, fresh, and has everything you need for a week away from it all. We thought it felt nicer than our own home, and the kids loved the hot tub. The location was great, the site was quiet and well maintained, with a lovely pool for the kids. A short drive to local shops and a range of take-aways, as well as easy access to the main roads, made this a perfect mix of relaxation and convenience. Loved it, thanks.

2nd Break here-we love it!
We have stayed on site at Finlake a number of times and at this particular lodge twice now. It really is a beautiful place. So peaceful and homely. The lodge is fully equipped with all you need and the hot tub is amazing with stunning views over the country side. It’s spotlessly clean and even with 4 adults and 2 kids there is plenty of space. Finlake itself has an amazing swimming pool complex and there are parks and beautiful woodland areas to explore. If you can tear yourself away from the lodge it’s a great base for Dawlish and Dawlish Warren and even Paignton and Torquay. We can’t wait to go back and are counting down the days until we return!

A great place to relax
We spent most of our time relaxing in the property, given it was decorated fabulously and had all we needed for a very relaxing stay.
That said, we did walk around the site and the amenities appear first class. I did make use of the local shop.
All in all, very impressed and would highly recommend, thank you.

About the neighborhood
A typical old Devon town, Chudleigh has numerous narrow lanes and passageways between quaint old cottages. It is located at the end of the Teign Valley, close to the Haldon Hills. Perhaps more to the point is that it is on the main road from Exeter to Plymouth, to which it owes its prosperity as a wool town from the 13th century onwards. There was certainly a settlement here in the 11th century, when it formed part of the bishop’s Episcopal manor. There are still some traces of a former medieval bishop’s palace on the edge of town. Unfortunately, most of the medieval properties in Chudleigh were destroyed by fire in 1807.
St Martin’s Church is an early 14th century building with an even earlier tower of an unusual design for this area.
Getting around
The nearest train station is Newton Abbot. There is a bus stop located at the park entrance. A car is the quickest and most convenient way to get around.

Finlake is located just minutes from the A38. From Exeter turn off the A38 at the Chudleigh Knighton exit. From Plymouth turn off the A38 at the Chudleigh/Teign exit.
Follow the brown signs to Finlake. Turn Right into the entrance & follow the road up the hill past the reception.

The nearest train station is Newton Abbot. There is a bus stop located at the park entrance
