Family get together in Crete.
Where do I start, the pictures say it all. The villa is stunning and Elftheria is the perfect host. We couldn’t have asked for more, we had a super holiday. Thank you for having us. X

Perfect villa, perfect host.
We recently stayed in beautiful Villa Elvina for a family celebration. From the very beginning we were so impressed.
Eleftheria was there to welcome us and show us around the villa and all its amenities. We were a family of four adults and three children (one a toddler).
The accommodation was superbly presented, spotlessly clean and with every need catered for. Eleftheria was so kind and friendly - she had provided numerous pool and beach toys for the children as well as baby products, cot with mosquito net, highchair, pram etc.
The villa is just as the photos show and it is kept beautifully clean by the lovely cleaning ladies who returned once during our stay to clean again and change the bed linen, towels etc. Pool towels are provided so you do not need to bring your own. There is lots of space both inside and out with large lawned gardens, barbecue with covered dining, stunning pool area and patio with comfy seating. The arrangement of the bedrooms suited us well - my husband and I took the separate studio apartment on the ground floor whilst our family occupied the three bedrooms upstairs.
The location is very quiet and peaceful ¬– right on the beach of a beautiful bay. There are three local tavernas and a small shop within walking distance. We would still recommend a car in order to visit some of the other places in western Crete (e.g. Chania, Kolymbari, Falasarna beach).
Because we were celebrating an anniversary Eleftheria brought us a lovely homemade Cretan Pastitsio with a Greek salad, champagne and flowers plus the wonderful chocolate cake mentioned in previous reviews. Could anyone ask for more!
This is certainly a five-star villa with numerous ‘hotel type’ extras such as bathrobes, slippers, unlimited supplies of household goods, teabags, coffee pods and plenty of toiletries. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone seeking a luxury villa holiday in a peaceful location (especially families).

Pure Cretan perfection
Let me start by saying Eleftheria is an amaizng host and we are so impressed by her work and hospitality not to mention super personality.We still can't believe how absolutley amazing everthing was. The villa is spacious , beautifully furnished and decoreted , the surroundings are amazing - barbecue area, swimming pool, jacuzzi kiddy pool. It's like living a luxurious , easy life and...we have toddler twins, so let me just say life with twins is not easy or luxurious but in this villa it's like a dream :) Kiddy pool is amazing and safe plus there are tons of toys so you don't need to worry about anything . If you get bored with pools you can walk to the beach and by walk i mean 30 seconds. There are 3 restaurants close by ( 2 within 2 minutes walking distance and another one 5min) and they are all lovely. The lawn is spacious so you can play football , frisbee badminton ( everything is in the villa) . There are baby monitors, stroller, potties, hairdryers, hairstraigteneres, kitchen is equiped with every possible appliance...On top of that it my birthday and Eleftheria brought us amaizng chocolate cake and champagne not to mention wine on arrival and beautiful dish made by her mother in law and presents for our girls.It was the best holidays we had in a very long time and we travel extensively throughout the world. For sure we will come back with friends and family as villa is perfect for family or friends reunion. Thank you Eleftheria!

Like a small hotel all to ourselves - heaven!
We loved our stay at Villa Elvina. It was having a small hotel all to ourselves. Plenty of space for socializing, great pool and jacuzzi, excellent patio and plenty of amenities that I’d normally only expect from a hotel stay such as bath robes, toileteries, huge amount of towels, flat irons, hairdryers etc. The indoors including the kitchen worked great as well.
Apart from the villa itself, the hostess was even better. Very considerate and always ensuring we had everything we needed. As an example she took one look at our kids and came back with heaps of toys suitable for their age to use during the stay.
We also appreciated the location of the villa. Right by the ocean, in a quiet area.
We can highly recommend this place and surely will! We hope to come back.

Just arrived and "being at home"
We spend our holiday in the seaside-villa with the whole family (three generations). A very nice location and the villa delivers the best comfort. Also the organistion by Eleftheria has been at its best - very friendly and with a focus on the children, who loved her. It's been a place where we had so much fun (especially with the kids) and at the other side: simply relaxing and comfortable.

Best vacation ever!!!

Perfect Villa, Perfect, Vacation, Perfect Host 5+ Stars!
We spend two weeks with our two kids and parents (in total 8) in this beautiful Villa right next to the ocean. Our so lovely and kind host Eleftheria welcomed us warmly and gave us wonderful tipps for restaurants, places to visit, and things to do. There is everything and more you need for a perfect stay. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful, luxury house. Our kids did not want to leave and at least want to come back every year from now on!
Thank you for making our visit to Crete so special!

5* luxury in a villa. Villa Elvina is perfect in every way.
The villa was spotlessly clean and had plenty of space - both indoors and out - for our family group of five. It had all of the facilities we could want and more; we appreciated the welcome pack, the unlimited supply of coffee etc, the toiletries, the bath robes and of course the delicious chocolate cake! We loved the pool and the jacuzzi, the pizza oven and the proximity to the beautiful beach.
There are three restaurants and a mini-market within a short walk of the villa. However, I would recommend hiring a car so that you can visit the nearby town of Kissamos, local beaches, etc.

Perfect accomodation for our first holiday in Chania
Villa Elvina was perfect for our large group of 11 ( 8 adults between 35 and 65 years old and 3 children from 4 to 13 years old). Eleftheria was so Kind adding two beds for children and we had plenty of space for everybody and we enjoy staying convivialy All together around the pool or having barbecue dinner on the large terrace behind the house.
Eleftheria wellcome us with a delicious dinner in our first evening and she greated us with wine, juce and other food stuffs During our staying that we highly apreciated. We found the house perfect clean, the bedding and towels of very good quality ( a plus are the bathrobes for everybody very useful) and the administrative team did a very good job with the pool maintenance, with the second cleaning and with small stuffs that were solved promptly. The kitchen had All facilities to prepare with pleasure and in leisure various breakfast ( with stuffs that we bought from Kissamos where there are plenty of shops for fresh meat, cretan sweets, cretan cheese and vegetables). Nearby Elvina there are three tavernas with very good and genuine cretan food. We had dinners there but we ,also ,ordered food directly to the villa.
The weather was very good middle of May with mild temperatures and good sea for long swimming, specialy in the evening in Drapanias golf, in front of the house, watching the sunset alone, only All of us on the beach.
Elvina was a good base for going to Elafonisi, to Balos ( by our jeep), to Falasarna ( for paragliding), to Agia Marina ( for parasailing) or to splendid Chania city.
I am glad to have booked long time in advance Elvina villa for having such opportunity of spending our holiday in a genuine cretan but styled and comfortable place. Thank you Eleftheria and All the best to you and to your guests.

An enjoyable stay
We hired the villa for two families and had a wonderful time there. Our host Eleftheria and her husband were exceptional hosts and most generous.
The villa, interior, bedding and toiletries were of very high standard and there was no shortage of water fun whether it was the pool or the sea directly outside the villa.
Thank you for our lovely time out there and for experiencing your lovely Cretan hospitality.

About the neighborhood
Only 25 minutes drive away from Chania through the national road of Chania-Kissamos, it is located the village of Drapanias. It is surrounded by the capes Gramvousa and Spatha of Kissamos bay of the Cretan sea in the Western Crete, only a few meters away from Nopigia village and 3 km away from the town of Kastelli where you will find everything you need: Health Center, Pharmacies, Medical Offices, Super Markets, Bakeries, Cleaners/Ironers, Gas Stations, Post Offices, Banks with ATM.
Drapanias village is both a coastal and a mountain village.
In the mountainous part of the village, with a population of approximately 500 residents, there are picturesque narrow streets and beautiful churches where you will enjoy stunning views. In the village, you can buy goods from grocery stores and mini markets or you can go to traditional restaurants and coffee shops.
A delightful, fully of groves, path leads you to the coastal part of the village, Drapanias. Pure and unchanged from the mass tourism, Drapanias beach, is a good chance to swim in a clean sea (which has already been proposed for blue flag), to relax and enjoy your sunbathing in a calm environment or you may just cross the beach by picking up pebbles and breathing the breeze of the sea.
In addition, Drapanias beach is the suitable place for those of you who love to go for fishing. You can rent a boat under the directions of a local fisherman and go for fishing in Ravdouchas bay. It is also the ideal place for wind-surfers.
You can also go for cruise and swimming in Balos, via the Kastelli port, or you can go for excursions to the famous beaches of Falasarna and Elafonisi.
Alternatively, in Drapanias beach, you may enjoy your sunbathing in a more cosmopolitan environment with deckchairs and umbrellas or even you may visit its coffee shops and its traditional restaurants with a variety of flavours from Cretan kitchen. Just a few meters away, there is camping Mithimna where you can buy goods for your very basic needs.
There are also three worldwide awarded beaches around the villa:
1) Falasarna beach is 10 kilometers from our villa
2) Balos beach is 15 kilometers from our villa
3) Elaphonisi beach is about 45 kilometers from our villa
