Ryton Grange is a newly and lovingly refurbished grade 2 listed tudor and victorian farmhouse thought to be initially built in 1594 and extended in 1744 in the georgian times. It has exposed beams throughout and also wobbly original floors and staircases. There is also traditional panelling in the living room and wattle and daub within the walls.

It is situated in the middle of a tiny unspoilt sleepy village called Ryton, which is midway between Shrewsbury and Church Stretton. Near also to Ludlow and Oswestry.

The property is set back from the road and has a private gated yard in which to park vehicles.

Inside, the property tastefully combines traditional style with modern comfortable living. There are exposed beams throughout and plenty of antique and vintage furniture to give a feeling of stepping back in time.

We enjoyed a wonderful family weekend using Ryton Grange as our base. We had a fabulous time and were absolutely delighted with everything the house had to offer; comfortable beds, excellent facilities and a delightful area. We would love to visit again.

beautiful rural village surrounded by fields and view of the shropshire hills, pub in ryton very near, or 20 minute walk to dorrington to another pub and persian restaurant, there is also a grocery store. near to buzzy ,market town of shrewsbury with taxi access if required, also ludlow with its history and foodie haunts. ironbridge is a fascinating destination if you are interested in our industrial history attingham park is a beautiful national trust property nearby to visit and the beautiful shropshire hills with wild countryside lovely views and endless walking and cycling opportunities.

it is always easier to explore rural areas by car, however there is an infrequent bus that serves shrewsbury, church stretton and ludlow which passes through rytpn (about 200m from the gate) this bus can be met at the bus station in shrewsbury which is a very short walk from the train station.from birmingham airport it is possible to get a train direct to shrewsbury (or church stretton) and then either a bus or taxi to ryton (taxi is approx £12)
