Comfortable modern cottage with good facilities
We had a great week in DIngieshowe cottage. It was a well placed base for visiting Glasgow and the Loch Lomond & Campsie Fells area. The owners were very helpful with providing directions, information and checking up that all was in order. The cottage is well equipped and had plenty of space for us to relax on our holiday.

Great Cottage, Great Location!
Thank you very much to Meg and Bill for the use of their Cottage during our stay in Scotland. The accommodation was in great condition and is ideal for exploring the nearby Scottish countryside. The village is only a few hundred meters away and has good amenities. We had a great time and look forward to staying there again.

Very good place and location to visit Glasgow/Campsie/Trossach/Stirling area
The small village ofLennoxtown is a good location to visit all around. The place is quiet, well furnished and all appliances working fine. We loved the veranda as dining room. There a good restaurant nearby. No problem for car parking. We were nicely welcomed by the owners. Check-out and deposit refund without problem.

Perfect
We were six people in the house. 2 of which were kids. The house was missing absolute nothing at all. There was even toys for kids. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms were lovely and cosy. Nice back yard too. We just can't find anything bad to say. As soon as you open the windows the view is to die for. I extremely recommend this place. I will certainly stay in it again soon.

Spacious, comfortable and convenient
I stayed at Dingieshowe Cottage during Easter 2015. The cottage was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped for my wife and I and our 2 young sons. We had everything we needed on hand to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The property is very well managed and in very good condition. It was also helpful to have a garden and parking facilities. The cottage is located 100 yards from the Glazert hotel - and close to shops. All in all a great and comfortable base for exploring the surrounding area.

A spacious family home in a quiet residential setting
A well equipped and spacious family home, with a hotel next door just perfect for eating out or for anyone who likes to have a drink as it's within walking distance. The house was well equipped and even had toys for younger children to keep them occupied. Only downside an extra television would have been good so as the adults could watch something other than CBeebies ha ha! But honestly a relaxing holiday and we would come back again.

Thanks for this review - we're glad you enjoyed your holiday. Point taken about the pillows - was going to replace these soon anyway, so a shopping trip will be arranged now asap! Ah, what would we do without Cbeebies!!!

Excellent stay
We enjoyed a fantastic few days at Dingieshowe Cottage. We travelled with two young children and the house had everything we needed, including a children's room with toys to play with. House was modern, clean and spacious. An ideal base for visiting Glasgow, we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

About the neighborhood
Although a rural village, Lennoxtown has a fascinating history, including industries such as a nail works, a calico works, and an alum factory, owned by Macintosh of waterproof clothing fame. All of these are now gone without trace, and the only industry now is the bottling plant for Highland Spring Water. The centre is an excellent centre for touring, providing all facilities needed - garages, pharmacy, grocers, butchers, newsagents, doctors, churches. Lennoxtown nestles at the foot of the beautiful Campsie Fells, and their towering crags can been seen from windows of the house, changing colour with the seasons – green with spring grasses, purple with heather, golden with bracken – or wrapped in ethereal mists, waterfalls tumbling down their rugged crags. The Campsies provide wonderful scope for hiking, birdwatching or just wandering. A drive up the Crow Road at the other end of the village takes one up a steep road clinging to the mountain side, to breathtaking views over the Clyde Valley below. Continuing on through the mountain pass and across the moors, then down through woodlands, rivers, and pretty villages leads to a long straight road, built by General Wade, heading for Stirling, its ancient castle built by James IV, towering on the skyline.Close by is Barrhill - a Roman fort on the Antonine Wall. Ample scope for hill walking and for flatter walking and cycling, the towpath on the Forth & Clyde canal (3miles), connects with the new Falkirk Wheel. At the foot of the road the Thomas Muir Heritage trail hugs pretty banks of the Glazert Water. The West Highland Way, which runs from north Glasgow to Fort William, can be accessed only 7 miles away. Trout fisheries and golf courses nearby. Bus route to Glasgow 2 minutes from house. Glazert Country House Hotel only a stons throw away if you want that quiet evening drink or delicious meal.

How to get there
Lennoxtown is easily reached by car via the M8 and M80, following for Kirkintilloch, A806 and then A891, turning left at Milton of Campsie towards Lennnoxtown. On entering the village, the Glazert Meadow is situated in the first road on the left, and the house is the the first house on the right, a bungalow. There is a bus route - X85 to Campsie - every half hour from Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow. The bus stop is about 100 yards from the house.
