About the neighborhood
Camp de Rêves Glampsite (Guernsey French for Field of Dreams) is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the Island, boasting fabulous panoramic west coast sea views and stunning sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. The fields surrounding Camp de Rêves are home to numerous different species of birds, both local and migrating, from little egrets to marsh harriers which come to feed on the abundant flora and fauna in the protected Ramsar area. Within 6 minutes you can walk to the sheltered bays perfect for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and beach combing! Restaurant within 10 mins walk and restaurant and bar within 20 mins walk along the beach, both very good and further restaurants inland, easy to cycle to.
Getting around
Plenty within walking distance: beaches, restaurants, historic places of interest. The lanes around the glampsite are not busy and good for cycling. The buses are every hour and mainly head into the capital town of St Peter Port. A car is useful if you wanted to get about quickly with off bus route places to visit - not essential if happy to cycle or stay local placed. There is a company nearby that offers bike and electric bike hire.

How to get there
There is a choice of regular flights from airports throughout the UK or you can travel by ferry and bring a car:- BY AIR: Aurigny Air Services - Routes from: Bristol, Alderney, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Norwich, East Midlands, Grenoble and Southampton etc and seasonal European connections. Blue Islands - Routes from: Bristol, Birmingham, Dublin, Jersey, Norwich, East Midlands, Southampton, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc and seasonal European connections. BY FERRY: Condor Ferries - Fast ferry service from Poole, St Malo and Jersey. Conventional ferry service from Portsmouth Manche Iles Express - Routes from France: Dielette, Carteret, Granville and Jersey. Directions to Camp de Rêves Glampsite when arriving at the Airport: As you come out of the Airport turn right and stay on the main road. On the way you will pass through a small village where you will see Morrisons on your right and later the Longfrie Hotel on your left, continue on the main road heading for L’Eree Bay. Five minutes later you will come to a sharp right hand bend and directly after a large cream square concrete structure (WWII ammunition store) on your right and a zebra crossing straight ahead. Just before the zebra crossing there is a lane (Rue de la Houguette) on your left, turn into this lane, at the end of which is the Glampsite. (If you pass a school on your right you have gone 10 meters too far and have just missed the turn off into the lane). Directions to the Glampsite when arriving by Ferry: The ferries will arrive into St Peter Port Harbour. If driving, take the first left at the roundabout when leaving the pier. Drive straight through St Peter Port town with the boat marina’s on your left and go up a winding hill called Val des Terres, at the top turn left until you reach the traffic lights then turn right to St Martin's village. A minute or two later at the filter turn left and stay on this road following the directions for the Airport. Continue to stay on the same main road driving past the Airport on your right and then follow the instructions above for arrival by plane By Bus: There are buses from St Peter Port Bus Terminus, a ten minute walk from the ferry terminal, and from directly outside the Airport terminal. You will need Route 93 which is the most direct (approx 20 mins), Route 94 (approx 35 mins) will also take you to the same stop but takes a little longer. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the stop just before La Houguette School, on Route des Paysans. Then look for the zebra crossing and go down the lane (Rue de la Houguette) just before it on the opposite side of the road to the school. Walk down this lane for five minutes and the Glampsite will be in front of you. Depending on time of day and season, the buses run every 1 hour, 1½ hours or every 2 hours. Please check timetable for times and also diversions.
