From start to finish it was a delight to stay once again at Woodnook. Sue is the perfect host, the accommodation is exquisite and full of the little touches that make it feel the 5 stars that it deserves. Well located in beautiful countryside with quick, easy access to surrounding areas including central Preston. We will return again.

Relaxing Weekend
Spent an amazing weekend at Woodnook B&B. Immaculate and spotless self contained annexe which had everything we needed. Sue & Dave were fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough for us. Peaceful surroundings , just a perfect getaway. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful and relaxing
Spent an amazing 5 nights at Woodnook B&B. It is a stunning self contained annexe with everything you need. The owner was unable to provide a cooked breakfast due to Covid regulations but she very kindly left us plenty to eat for breakfast together with some lovely sweet treats. The bathroom had plenty of toiletries and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the sitting room into the garden was so relaxing watching the different species of birds entertain us! The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. The B&B is in walking distance to Longton where there are pubs, restaurants, supermarket, chemist etc. After a year of lockdown restrictions it was wonderful to finally be able to meet up with family and friends in the North and our stay at Woodnook made it all the more special. And to top it all - the sun shone! Would definitely recommend and would love to return. Thank you!

The self contained accommodation is built and finished to the very highest standards and includes underfloor heating on first floor, very well appointed shower room and first floor balcony overlooking a delightful extensive garden

Awesome Place To Stay - Would Highly Recommend
A huge thanks to Sue & Dave for their hospitality - The place is modern, immaculate and spotless throughout. We stayed for 3 nights and we can't overstate how impressed we were. Its not just the quality of the accomodation that makes this place special. The hosts go above and beyond what you'd expect to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Perfect for anyone visiting the area. We will certainly be rebooking!

Absolutely First Class
My wife and I stayed here when visiting family locally on our way to a break in the Lake District. Its difficult to fully describe just how good this place is. The quality of the building is brilliant and the arrangement of the accommodation is excellent giving so much space to relax.The living area opens up to a great balcony with sitting area and views over the lovely garden which you are allowed to walk around.
A range of breakfast cereals are provided along with milk, tea and coffee and the kitchenette area on the ground floor along with a dinning table gives the opportunity to prepare an evening meal etc..... we actually walked to the Dolphin Pub (around 1 mile) for dinner and would recommend it.There are also a number of other pubs in the village close by.
Thanks to Sue for a lovely welcome and for the scones, jam and cream! We will doubtless be booking again!

Great hospitality and a little nostalgia
We were made very welcome at Woodnook by Sue. The sitting area has a beautiful view and the whole apartment is stylish and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious - excellent local sausages, bacon and eggs, and a great fresh fruit platter. We also borrowed a walk leaflet which took us past the house in Hutton where my grandparents lived 40 years ago. Happy memories! An outstanding place to stay.

Perfect place to stay
Although I only had the 1 night I loved staying at this place. Was easy to get to from Preston (bus) and walkable from Longton main road.
Has everything you need for a super comfortable stay and hopefully will get back there sometime later in the year for more chill time in the Lanc countryside.
Breakfast was awesome too! Big thanks to the host! x

Superb.
Know the area well, was attending a wedding. Immaculate accommodation and excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful, even took time to drive and show me the best route for the M6 on leaving. Radio in the breakfast area would be useful.

Clean, specious guest house
We stayed here for 2 nights, it was a very clean and well laid-out 2-floor house with everything we could need. We were travelling with an 18-month infant and was very impressed to see cutlery and tableware, nappy changing table etc all prepared for him! The fridge was well stocked with plenty of things for breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

Longton is a rural village with plenty of amenities. We have numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, including a large supermarket.
We are close to Preston and Southport. Blackpool and Lytham St Anne's are a thirty minute drive away.
Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District are also easily accessible- being an hours drive.
Getting around
Longton is on the bus route from Preston to Southport and Liverpool. Woodnook is a ten minute walk to the nearest bus stop-at the top of Marsh Lane.
Preston railway station is a ten minute drive.
