Very comfortable and warm and central to many interesting areas on the coast. Good birdwatching area. Good food shopping at the farm shop at Runcton, and a good choice of pubs and restaurants.

Near to Chichester and many places of interest. Located a short distance from beaches and queys for boating. It was very relaxing with a small seating area outside the cottage for snacks.

We stayed for six nights at Pear Tree Cottage and loved every minute. It is in the perfect position for visiting, the coast, Chichester and beyond. Jill and Patrick were delightful and provided us with lots of suggestions of where to eat, walk and cycle....More

Chichester and the surrounding area is full of shops, bars and restaurants. You will not be short on choice when looking for a place to eat or drink... a plethora of cafe's by the beach or marinas that all accept dogs too.. Chichester has a wonderful secret walled in garden called 'Bishops garden' located just behind the cathedral which is a lovely spot to sit with a book or enjoy a picnic. There's the Cathedral Cafe - a quaint walled garden cafe if you feel a bit peckish. Theatre goers will love Chichester Festival Theatre - famed for the amount of its productions that continue on to the West End. Pagham Harbour, walking distance from the cottage has a wonderful pub called the Crab and Lobster, its food is talk about throughout the county and its little beer garden and outsid...
How to get there
Pear Tree Cottage is located in the centre of a rural village called Highleigh, with a car parking space next to the cottage we advised everyone to have access to a car. Car rental companies are walkable from the main Chichester railway station in South street. Ask for more details. (Direct trains run from Chichester to London Victoria and take just 1hr 40mins) Highleigh is easily accessible by car on the A27
