Following the relaxing of lockdown rules in England we are able to take bookings where all guests are from the same household from 12th April 2021. After the 17th May we can accept guests from 2 separate households.
Rose Shepherds hut sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children, it is located on our small organic farm in the heart of the Kent Downs AONB overlooking our lake. It has its own private hot tub that you can step in from the decking.

You can relax in the hot tub, visit all of Kent's castles, beaches and attractions are no more than 30 minutes away by car and you can reach Central London in 38 minutes from nearby Ashford.
A couple of things you should know before booking: The main bed is a fold up / down sofa bed, but it has a great mattress. The private heated shower room is a short walk away. The hut is too small for 4 adults, max occupancy is 2 adults and 2 children Pets on request (Supplement cost payable) The hot tub is for your exclusive use.

We had the pleasure of staying in the rose shepard hut for my husbands 40th , not only was it beautiful accommodation but the farm surrounding it was breath taking and relaxing.... nigel and his family were warm and welcoming.. we thank you greatly for our stay and hope to return very soon 😁

Fantastic, relaxing break
If you want to relax and get away from it all for a few days then this is the place to stay...
Wonderful lakeside position, beautiful woodland walks, cosy, well appointed accommodation, fantastic views, a lovely hot tub and friendly, welcoming hosts...Love it here and will be back!

Perfect Getaway
We have just had a wonderfully relaxing 3 nights in the Rose Hut. The setting is idyllic with the woodlands all around and the beautiful lake. I have never seen so many swallows and watching them dive down to the lake whilst lazing in the hot tub was the most relaxed I have felt in months!
The hut has everything you could need and more and there is so much to do and see near by. I didn’t brave swimming in the lake but my husband and children loved it!
Thank you to the brilliant and very helpful hosts! We will definitely be back.

Fabulous 2 night getaway
We have just come back from an amazing 2 night stay in the shepherd's hut. The most beautiful setting, stunning views across the valley, long bike rides, cows, woods, camp fires, a dip in the swimming lake, table tennis competitions, bbq, log burner, cosy hut and not forgetting the long soaks in the hot tub with a glass of fizz whilst watching the buzzards dive through the skies...
A fab way to spend quality family time.
We went with two children... plenty for them to do. Great time had by all.

perfect relaxing retreat
We spent one night in the shepherds hut and can not wait to return for longer. Nigel was extremely welcoming and helpful. The shepherds hut was very cleverly designed and cosy. the hot tub and view over the lake was stunning.

Perfect romantic getaway
We stayed here for 1 night and wish it was longer. The hut is everything you could want and need, the hot tub was amazing and we spent most of the evening here looking out over the swimming lake. Our stay was perfect just too short !! Really idyllic setting we will definitely be back soon if it’s not fully booked already . Thankyou to Nigel for making everything easy from access to fully explaining all rules and showing us around etc.

Fantastic stay
What a beautiful place to stay . The owners were friendly and helpful, the location was idealic and everything was clean and comfortable . My kids loved the lake pool and it entertained them for hours . Plenty to do relaxing at the shepards hut but also lots of attractions nearby. Will Definately be going back ...

Cosy cottage
Just back from a mini break in this idyllic little shepherds hut set in the Kent countryside, charming little hut with all you need, beautifully decorated, nice sized decking to relax on, modern clean shower, use of the hot tub and a lake to swim in, great little getaway from it all

We had a cheeky two night stay while our son was at respite, the facilities were fab, accomdation idyllic.... love , loved, loved it...will definitely stay again.
