We stayed in The Windmill Suffolk for 3 nights as a birthday treat for my husband. Natalie welcomed us with the biggest smile and gave us a tour of the beautiful property and garden. With one floor devoted to each room, a great deal of thought and creativity had been put into the design and layout, with each level having its own “wow!” factor. As a surprise I had opted for extras of chilled Champagne, a colourful hot-air balloon decoration and a special cake flavoured as per my choice. This was ready to greet us as we entered the ground-floor kitchen/diner. We relaxed and enjoyed the views from the top floor pod, after taking a beautiful countryside walk nearby. The windmill is a great base to explore quaint and historical villages within a short drive, for example Lavenham and Long Melford. We also made a longer drive to Southwold on the coast with a Victorian pier and lighthouse. Throughout our stay Natalie and Steve were incredibly good hosts and we would highly recommend choosing The Windmill for a memorable break. Thank you both for creating such a stunning destination :)

We stayed here for our first anniversary & just WOW !! A friendly welcome from Natalie & we were blown away from the minute we arrived. The interior is really cool, & it's the biggest & best bath tub ever. The beds are comfortable & this is ideal if u like beautiful countryside views. There are quite a few stairs naturally with a windmill so be mindful of that. It's very peaceful & perfect for visiting Lavenham & close to Bury St Edmunds. The anniversary package is a must incredible cake, champagne, balloons & flowers (which Natalie arranges) & we love the dressing gowns super cosy! You definitely need this place in your life. One bucket list adventure fulfilled & it exceeded expectations just incredible !!

Everything had been thought of to make our stay perfect. Fixtures, fittings, equipment, toiletries, bed linen, towels, dressing gowns - all to the highest standard. Natalie and Steve accommodated our every wish (two of us were older and more susceptible to cold - the heating was adjusted immediately). Food essentials were waiting for us, together with cake, card and banner for my birthday! Although the owners live nearby we had complete privacy and our own garden and comfortable furniture (will have to return when the weather is a little warmer). The views from the windows, especially the lounge, are beautiful, with lovely sunsets. We even looked down to see a barn owl flying on our first evening. Very much recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful windmill. It’s such a unique and fascinating property, with fantastic views and such a homely feel. Natalie was so welcoming and looked after us more than we could’ve possibly wished for. There was everything you needed with amenities, and space. It was spotlessly clean and a fabulous location. Stunning building for any occasion. I booked for a surprise trip for my partners 40th, just the two of us, bit of down time. It's tranquil location, great views, immaculate interior make for such a relaxing break. We wrapped ourselves in blankets to sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise over the misty fields. We will be going back. Thanks Natalie for the additional birthday touches.

We have just arrived home from a 2 night stay at this beautiful windmill, we were here celebrating my husbands 40th birthday, the windmill is absolutely amazing and definitely worth every penny. Natalie was so accommodating when I contacted her about booking and planning extra little surprises for the birthday! A year I had to keep a secret for that we was staying here, we loved every little detail of the windmill, everything was there that we needed, we couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation to celebrate. We will definitely be returning ❤️

Staying in the Windmill was a truly lovely experience, the place is luxury. Nat and Steve are amazing and made us feel very welcome. I loved the huge bath and spending the evening in the ‘pod’ looking out across the landscape. Very relaxing and hope to come back shortly.

For my husbands 60th Birthday, I treated us to a four night stay at the Windmill. My husband had seen the place advertised about 4 years ago and had mentioned several times since then about staying there. What a fabulous place, it’s unique, well appointed and just a stunning place to stay. We decided to make the most of the accommodation so spent the majority of our time at the Windmill just appreciating it. Natalie, the co owner was excellent with her communications and lovely to deal with in person whilst we were there. Lots of little extras added a nice touch. Whilst there are plenty of places to visit in the area I would strongly recommend just spending time in this beautiful place. We both loved it.

Home from the most incredible couple of days away at The Windmill Suffolk To say that this place is incredible, is an understatement! Natalie and Steve, you have created the most amazing, luxurious getaway that I have ever been to!!! From the stunning views, the incredible design work, the most amazing interior designing that I have ever seen, to all the little added extras - wine and cake on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers to wear, gorgeous little goodies dotted throughout the windmill…. we honestly have had the best time so thank you for having us!! Can’t wait to come back again!!

I booked the windmill for a special belated 50th birthday getaway for my husband (who loves windmills!). From the time of the booking to the day we left, Natalie (the owner) could not have been more warm, accommodating and lovely. She ensured our stay was as memorable as I hoped it would be. I had booked the special Suffolk Foodie package and it was absolutely delicious and plentiful. My request for gluten free was catered for so impressively that I didn't feel there was any compromise in the variety (there often is elsewhere!). The windmill is immaculate and unique. You can see it has been restored to an exceptional standard. Everything has been thought of to ensure a luxurious and comfortable stay. Overall I couldn't be more happy that I chose the windmill for my husband's birthday celebration. I'm quite sure that we'll be back for another visit some time in the future.
