Cahersiveen, County Kerry
The old Monastery is an old Christian Brothers period home which was taken into private ownership in the 1990s after more than 100 years of home for the religious order. It was originally built as a merchants home and today it still retains its old charm and elegance throughout with beautiful wooden floors and stained glass windows. This is a charming Victorian residence situated in three quarter of an acre of secluded gardens, right in the centre of the beautiful town of Cahersiveen at the foot of Beentee Mountain and overlooking the Fertha River as it enters the sea. It offers spacious and very comfortable accommodation in complete privacy for special groups, family reunions, walkers, cyclists golfers or anyone interested in exploring the beauty outdoors.

There is a wealth of activities, from walking, cycling and climbing, to riding, tennis, and golf at the Dooks or at Waterville's 18-hole championship links (9 miles). There are lots of angling possibilities from sea trout and wild salmon to shark fishing. The coast itself offers plenty of water sports, including wind-surfing and water-skiing, as well as deep sea angling, diving... more
