Comfortable cottage in a great location
We had a great holiday based in Adare, doing some touring around and also taking time out for relaxation. The cottage is an ideal spot for visiting various locations in the south-west, and felt very warm & welcoming when you get back in the evening. Adare lives up to its reputation as Ireland's prettiest village, with a number of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is also a beautiful river walk that only takes 30 mins to complete the circuit. Eamonn and Mary are excellent hosts with loads of useful advice. Overall, we had a great time, and would highly recommend.

Idyllic and Convenient Cottage
My family and I just loved staying in this cottage. We had passed by it on a previous trip to Adare and were so excited to stay in it when we returned this time. It is so conveniently located both within Adare and to getting around many places in Ireland in general. There's so many great places to eat and beautiful things to see in Adare alone - all within easy walking distance - that we barely used the car we rented. Eamonn was so very helpful and made us feel right at home. We had everything we could have needed and were very comfortable here. Can't wait to come back and stay again soon!

Host is great. Property needs cleaning
Charming location, host was wonderful. Place was musty and needs a good deep cleaning. We cleaned the sinks again and wiped large dust webs off the lamp shades and cleared off empty paper plates of food from the prior renters and carpet is dirty along the edges. Also furniture in family room is old and throw pillows have some stains on them

the cottage wraps its arms around you the minute you arrive!
The beautiful Gate Lodge Cottage is even more wonderful inside. Comfortable, all amenities there, beds are just grand. Location could not be any better to participate in activities in Adare. Eamonn, landlord, is attentive to every need and makes sure you are going to enjoy your stay. He was born in the cottage and has great pride as far as your comfort is concerned. He personifies the Irish Gentlemen. The cottage is well equipped. Anything you need is there. Eamonn even baked us scones and had tea available upon our arrival. Magical stay and plans to return, definitely !!

Charming
They cottage was perfect. Eamonn was very friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to walk from the cottage to Main St and all the shops. The people were friendly, the food good.

Perfect thatched roof cottage.
Wonderful old cottage. Very clean and well stocked. Eamonn was terrific and so helpful to answer questions and offer suggestions for activities to pursue in the area. Would highly recommend and would definitely like to return for a longer stay.

Prettiest cottage in the prettiest village in Ireland
The cottage is more beautiful in person than the pictures can capture. Our first night there we happened to meet a woman whose grandmother had previously lived in the cottage and could tell us some of the history, which only added to the charm of the place. The location is convenient to good restaurants, a grocery, and many quaint shops. Adare is centrally located in Ireland, we were able to drive to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and Bunratty one day, Blarney Castle the next. Eamon was very helpful, offering maps, GPS, and a phone for our use while there. We had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable.

Thatched cottage in the main Street of historic village of Adare.
We had a great stay at the thatched cottage in Adare. Our hosts were very friendly and assisted with recommending stops on our daily sight seeing itineraries. Adare itself is a very pretty village and well worth exploring, plus has plenty of shopping, pubs and eateries. The thatched cottage is a unique historic cottage that was one of the highlights of our holiday. It is very roomy and has good facilities.

Charming cottage in the heart of Main Street Adare.
This was our third stay at this cottage. It's the only thatched cottage for rent on Main Street Adare The cottage is a lovely blend of historic cottage with all the modern amenities (modern kitchen& baths) The location is outstanding: within walking distance of historic sights,fine restaurants and shops Park the car for your stay. The owner Eammon is very considerate and helpful. Again providing us with a cell phone for our stay in Adare. Thanks again Eammon for a wonderful stay.
