Belmullet, County Mayo, Western Ireland
Belmullet CGS was beautifully restored in 2010 to the highest standards. It is set in the heart of a working beef farm on Claggan Island. The island offers a relaxed atmosphere that is both private and secluded and yet we are only 12kms (10 minute drive) from Belmullet town and 5km to the nearest shop in Glencastle. The island is linked to the mainland via a causeway that is accessable by car all year round. The house has been carefully and purposely furnished to the highest standard so that our guests have a very comfortable and relaxing holiday. From the King size beds with memory foam mattresses to the reclining chairs in the living room, every room has been carefully designed & laid out so that guests experience a level of comfort and a feeling of being at home that will have you coming back again and again. The beach is only 5 minu... Read more

We had a lovely stay in the pod's. Laurence was there to greet us with the keys and showed us around. He left us breakfast in the kitchen area which was a lovely touch. I couldn't fault this place at all, would highly recommend staying here.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed at Belmullet for a week in October 2015. The Location was amazing and the island feel added to the relaxing nature of this holiday. It is however easily accessible with a standard car, we had a ford focus and you simply drive over the beach it’s compacted sand and feels just like a road in texture. The accommodation...
