#2 Millfield is a wonderful holiday home. We have a young family and the house was perfect. It has a nice enclosed back garden, handy for kids. The house is modern and comfortable. There was plenty of space. It is a great location for exploring, walking distance from Kenmare town and near a number of tourist routes for driving to explore the south west. Gail is a wonderful host, so warm and welcoming. She had a huge amount of information available about the area. I would really recommend this lovely house which was a real home for our week in Kenmare.

Lovely house in great location
We stayed in Millfield late August 2021 and couldn't have been happier with the rental- modern, spacious, comfortable, all mod cons, and a very nice back garden. Gail the owner was extremely friendly and helpful right from the start of my email enquiries 6 months earlier, and had even left us a welcome pack of goodies on arrival incl a bottle of wine, tea brack, milk, biscuits and sofa bread. All staples were also provided for e.g. tea & coffee. Its on the road out of town on the ring of Kerry so an excellent base for touring, and Kenmare town with all its attractions was about a 12 minute stroll on footpaths. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to explore Kenmare/ ring of Kerry.

Wonderful stay, very clean and comfortable
Just back from a wonderful stay in Millfield house. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It’s a perfect location to base yourself from. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Easy walk to Kenmare with our kids (age 8, 6, 3yrs) many thanks to Gail.

Schitterende vakantiewoning in een mooie omgeving.
Prachtige, ruime, gezellig ingerichte en heel nette cottage. Moderne keuken met alle voorzieningen, en een aangename woonruimte deed ons snel thuisvoelen.
Maar vooral de warme welkom van Gail was top. Zelden zo goed ontvangen, de thee en gebak stonden klaar!
Een plaats om met plezier in thuis te komen na de vele dagtochten op de ring of Kerry.

Millfield is the best place to stay in Kenmare.
My husband and I just finished up a 2 week stay at the lovely Millfield house. This was our fourth visit and won't be the last. The house is spotless, well-equipped, spacious, and in a quiet location within walking distance to Kenmare town. Kenmare offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and grocery stores. The owner, Gail, gives you the best welcome in Ireland! The house is the perfect spot to relax by the fire on a rainy day or to set out to see all the beauty of County Kerry and County Cork. Check out the Beara peninsula instead of the Ring of Kerry. Much less traffic and breathtaking scenery. Thank you, Gail, for another perfect vacation at your lovely house.

2 Millfield, Kenmare
Despite the weather we had a wonderful week at 2 Millfield, Kenmare. Gail the house owner could not have been more helpful. The house was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The lovely town of Kenmare is just 5 minutes walk away from the house. Although we were out of season there was still plenty of shops and pubs and eateries to choose from locally as well as a couple of supermarkets. The landscape and views around the ring of Kerry and beyond are quite spectacular. A lovely ‘recharge the batteries’ week with log fires and no particular schedule. Plenty of walking and cycling practically on the doorstep. Thoroughly recommend the house to anyone visiting this part of the world and would definitely stay at 2 Millfield again. Gail offers as much or as little advice, recommendations and support as you might need, otherwise she leaves you to get on with it. Lovely welcome pack of goodies on arrival and good free WiFi.

Gail is an absolute star and made all of us feel very welcome. The house was a home from home and spotlessly clean. The town of Kenmare is a beautiful town with everything you need. There's no wonder that Gail has got such excellent reviews.

gemütliches Ferienhaus in guter Lage
Wir waren im April für zwei Wochen im Millfield House und sind komplett zufrieden. Bei Ankunft wurden wir von der Besitzerin herzlich empfangen und in die Eigenheiten der Wohnung (Heizung, Kamin, Warmwasser,etc) eingewiesen. Das Haus ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet, bietet genug Parkplätze für zwei Autos und hat ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Öl und Strom wurden gesondert abgerechnet und machten bei uns zusammen 30€ aus.
Das Haus liegt an einer Ausfallstraße direkt am Ring of Kerry. Der Ortskern ist in ca. 15-20min zu Fuß erreichbar. Dank der zentralen Lage von Kenmare sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell per Auto zu erreichen.
