Number 16 is a modern house built in the style of a traditional Skye farmhouse. It's uniquely situated on the shoreline of Loch Dunvegan. The kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences. You will enjoy your breakfast while watching seals having their morning sunbath. The lounge is cosy and comfy and is equipped with a wood burning stove. There are two bedrooms available to guests. One with a super king size double bed and one with two single beds. Both bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms with toilet, washing basin and shower. The en-suite of the double room also has a bath. There is a separate toilet in the hallway. The utility room has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Close by (a mere 3-minute walk) is the famous Three Chimneys restaurant for excellent local food (lunches and dinner, timely reservations required). Further restaurants and shops can be found in Dunvegan (~5 minutes by car) and Glendale (~5 minutes by car). Michael Smith's Michelin starred restaurant Loch Bay in Stein, roughly 20 minutes by car. The island's capital Portree is 35 minutes by car. Great walks are available in any direction within the direct vicinity of the property: shoreline walks, Macleod Tables, Uiginish point, Neist Point and Coral Beaches to name a few. This house is amazing and the photos on the website do not do it justice. When we arrived and were looking for the house we could see the roof from the road and said ‘how amazing if that was the holiday house’ and it was!...More

About the neighborhood
Skinidin is a tiny hamlet situated between Glendale and Dunvegan. The area is rich in history, wildlife and beautiful scenery. There are many, many great walks directly from the property doorstep. Both Glendale and Dunvegan offer various opportunities for shopping and eating out. Further afield (35 minutes by car) you will find Portree, the island capital. Within walking distance, you will find the 3 Chimneys restaurant offering great local food (reservation required).
Getting around
To get the most out of your stay on Skye, a car is required. There is, however, a bus service between Glendale and Portree. From Portree, buses depart to other parts of the Highlands.
