    Luxury, architect designed, contemporary villa on Lake Koggala near Galle in Sri Lanka. Fully staffed with a particularly good cook. Five bedrooms: four double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, some outdoor and a further bedroom which can be made up as a twin, also with en suite. Set around a courtyard and overlooking the lake with a huge swimming pool and a tropical garden, this house is a tranquil spot but close to beaches and the historic town of Galle. Transport to and from airports arranged. A tuk tuk is available for use and more can be hired. Trips of Sri Lanka can be arranged from the villa or it can provide an excellent stop off point before or after a tour of the rest of the island.     About the neighborhood
    The area near Galle in southern Sri Lanka is one of the prettiest and most popular destinations in Sri Lanka. The pace of life is different, the food is good and the people are delightful. The coast is relatively unspoiled and Galle Fort has been carefully protected to maintain its historic buildings and atmosphere. For those interested in wildlife, Yala national park is not too far away with plenty of game: elephant and leopard in particular. But, even if you just stay at the Lake House, all manner of wildlife will cross your path from giant porcupine to monitor lizards, and the monkeys swing through the trees next to the house and, much to our annoyance, sit on our roof. (its annoying because they can break the tiles!)
    How to get there
    We will arrange to collect you from the airport and return you at the end of your stay. For nearby trips, you can use our tuk tuk and for longer excursions, we can arrange a car with driver.
