A bastide is a Provencal manor house, larger and more elegant than a farmhouse; Bastide Ivoire will not disappoint your expectations. An impressive property set in enclosed gardens, lovingly restored and beautifully made-over by the interior designer owner. It's full of character and feels 'of its time' yet as a holiday home it's comfortable, very attractive, practical to live in and has all modern facilities. Just outside the village of Salernes with shops and restaurants within walking distance, there are lots of other attractive small towns in the area with regular markets and plenty of chateaux and wine cooperatives where you can sample the wines. The upper floor is divided into two separate areas each with its own staircase. The first has a large master suite with a sitting area and bathroom with over-bath shower. Adjacent is a small bedroom ideal for children with low beds and a sloping ceiling. The second staircase leads to two double bedrooms, each with an en suite shower room and large windows over the grounds. On the ground floor is the modern fitted kitchen with black granite peninsula, there's a pantry and laundry room if required. From the kitchen is a door to the newly refitted summer kitchen with gas range barbecue and covered dining area leading to the garden. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room and beyond is the huge lounge, comfortable and inviting with space for all the family. Double doors open to the enclosed courtyard and pool with its striking burgundy wall and range of quality wooden loungers and dining furniture where you can indulge in a seriously long lunch. To the rear of the lounge is a small and cosy snug and toliet cloakroom. Within the enclosed grounds is a cottage garden with large terrace beside it, a large grassy field where children can play safely and ample parking inside the designer, electric gate. More
