It is conveniently situated in the scenic coastal village of Castlerock, which lies within an area of outstanding natural beauty. All amenities, including beach, shops, railway station, restaurants, championship golf course, tennis and play area are all located within a 10 minute walk. Fishing, horse riding, surfing, body boarding and other outdoor pursuits are available nearby. The accommodation sleeps 6 (master bedroom en suite, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom), all on ground floor level. Travel cots and high chairs available on request. Perfect place to relax in comfort.
This home in Castlerock is convenient for many beautiful beaches, with stunning countryside. It has 3 comfortable bedrooms, one of which is ensuite. It is a quiet, peaceful location with easy access to many beautiful locations on the North Antrim coast. It has been maintained to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. The welcome pack left for us on arrival which included home baking was a lovely gesture, and the owners were very attentive to our needs.

Enjoyed holiday
Castlerock is a small seaside vilage. Unfortunately it wasn't half term in N Ireland so not many amenities open such as Barry's in Portrush. Bungalow beautiful. Weather spoilt it as although a lovely beach very wet and windy so couldn't make use of it.

As you mentioned, the Castlerock beach is indeed beautiful, as is the scenic Causeway Coast in general. Unfortunately, this is the UK and good weather cannot be guaranteed but I hope that you enjoyed your visit to Northern Ireland nonetheless.

Cottage perfetto, suddiviso in stanze per ogni esigenza: cucina superaccessoriata, con tutto ciò che può servire. Generi alimentari a disposizione, graditissima sorpresa! Tre camere da letto perfettamente arredate, due bagni, una sala con musica, tv e stufetta. Parquet in tutta la casa. Anticamera di servizio all'ingresso. Lavanderia con box. Giardinetto. Troppo bella! Non perdetevela se siete nei paraggi! E' in una posizione comoda per visitare la Giant's Causeway, la zona di Derry e la penisola di Inishowen.

Really warrants all of its 5 stars!
This is an excellent, clean and beautifully presented holiday home. Well equipped with great attention to detail. Rooms sizes fine and beds comfortable. The house is situated in a quiet residential area but within walking distance of local shops and beach. All stages of the booking were dealt with in a very pleasant and professional manner. Our family (2 adults + 2 primary school aged kids) enjoyed it and we would have no hesitation in recommending it or booking it again. ( If you like reading - you'll find lots of books in this house!).

OUTSTANDING ACCOMODATION
The lodge is simply stunning. With everything you could possibly need, and all of a very good quality. Nothing seems too much trouble when you stay here, the cot was already put up for us and absolutely everything you might need is provided. along with a few very tasty home made treats in the welcome pack. Easy to find with plenty of parking and a lovely enclosed garden. Castlerock is a sleepy little coastal village with beautiful golden beaches and all very clean.

very confortable cottage
we really enjoy our stay, very well equipped cottage, a lot of informations ! if you come in the north of irland come here you can go all around to see very interessant places ! Lorna received her guest like king... All is perfect !

A very well appointed bungalow in a quiet and convenient location
The kind of property we would go back to. A car is desirable for getting around as train service not very frequent. Local shops and pub/bistro within walking distance.

Excellent house, really comfortable and home from home.
Loran and Bob give you a very warm welcome and are very helpful and friendly. The house is superb with every comfort you could imagine, nothing is left to chance. Set in a beautiful location with the beach a short walk. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood you never her a sound so very relaxing. Garden is great with a BBQ for your use - weather permitting.

Haven home in wonderful location
We booked this spotless home for a long weekend getaway with friends. How can you go wrong with the fab welcome pack containing home made guinness bread and other goodies (yum yum thanks Lorna). Loads of great facilities, handy to just plug in the ipod and feel at home, and was so handy to be able to put the wash on after a day of beach and sand dunes! We all love cooking, and the kitchen was well stocked so we could try out our gourmet creations! So handy for the pretty sites of the North Coast, also handy to get to. Comfy beds combined with the fresh clean air meant the best rest we've had in a long time. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

A real home from home
Had an excellent stay here. There is a sky box so you can put your own sky card in and watch the channels you watch in the house. We had an excellent holiday here with my chum and our sons. There is lots to do and it is well located. The house is lovely and has everything you can think off. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it and we will be back

Northern Ireland's Scenic North Coast is easily accessible from Carraig Lodge self-catering accommodation in Castlerock. The North Coast area is noted for its outstanding natural beauty and within the Castlerock area there are many scenic walks to enjoy and National Trust sites to explore. You will find Castlerock's unspoilt beach, the River Bann's Barmouth, Hezlett House, Mussenden and Downhill Demesne all within walking distance. Castlerock lies within the Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which includes the stunning cliffs of Avish, minutes away by car. Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Whitepark Bay, Bushmills Distillery, the coastal towns of Portrush and Portstewart (and beautiful Portstewart Strand) are all within easy reach. The Foyle ferry (seasonal) at Magilligan, crossing to Greencastle, Co Donegal, is approximately 15 minutes drive away. Travel from Castlerock railway station on one of the most scenic railway trips in the world, according to Michael Pallin, to Derry/Londonderry. Once there join one of the guided walking tours to explore the city walls, the best example in the UK and one of the best in Europe and learn more about the maiden city. Take a ferry across the Sea of Moyle to Rathlin Island and enjoy its natural beuaty. Explore the rugged landscape, admire the magnificent views and visit the RSPB Seabird Centre. If you want a golfing holiday, you will be spoilt with choice which includes Castlerock Championship Golf Course, Royal Portrush, Roe Valley Park Golf Club, Bushfoot Golf Club, Kilrea Golf Club and Portstewart Golf Club. Local golfing events include Castlerock Golf Club Open Week and 2010 North Coast Links Tournament. There is a range of shops and pubs in the area all close to our self-catering accommodation in Castlerock or, for a wide range of shops, a 10 minute drive will take you to Coleraine. If you want to leave the car behind, there is a railway station a short walk away as well as bus links to neighbouring towns. Crusoes highly acclaimed Castlerock coffee shop on Sea Road is always popular with locals and visitors alike. There are other local eateries to try too or travel further along the coast to some ever popular venues.
