Plasymynydd (Plas) which is Welsh for 'Palace of the Mountain' is a spacious, impressive detached country residence part of which dates from the 19th century and is set in delightful seclusion. It is approached via its own private, tree-lined driveway and is set in 11 acres which comprises extensive, attractively landscaped grounds, a small woodland, secret garden and four fields which you are welcome to explore. Plas boasts a South facing Terrace and has an indoor, heated soft Spring water pool (which is cleansed by minerals and low level chlorine) and is entirely for your own use. Enjoy a fun filled day at Pembrey Country Park (18 miles/40 minutes away) renowned for its beautiful nature trails, spectacular 8 mile beach, cycle tracks, pitch and putt, crazy golf, miniature railway, horse riding, toboggan run and 130m long dry ski slope. Llanelli Wetland Centre is (23 miles/43 minutes drive) and boasts 450 acre mosaic of lakes where you can hand feed the Hawaiian geese and admire the salmon-pink Caribbean flamingos or take a canoe safari (in the Summer) through the wetland greenery. A visit to Dinefwr Castle, historic House and 800 acres of stunning, ancient parkland upon which fallow deer and White Park cattle roam is enchanting (19 miles/40 minutes). Explore the Dolau Cothi Roman gold mine and try gold panning and enjoy the woodland walks and cycle trails (32 miles/50 minutes drive).
