Lovely terrace cottage in a great location near canal and town centre yet quiet at night. Lots of activities to do in the area. Great walks for us and dog. Loafs of places to eat and drink. Close to Yorks Dales.

A well presented cottage, comfy and homely with the cosiest bed I have ever slept in. Close to all amenities in Skipton and great place for exploring the Dale's.

Cosy Cottage
Had a lovely time at the cottage. Perfectly clean and also very cute. Personally loved that they had lots of books to read and a blanket in the bedroom and living room as I love being warm.
Only a 10 minute walk from main skipton, parking is easy on the next road over and house is in a quiet spot off the road so 10/10 from me and definitely will stay again!

Comfortable, cozy and close to the town
'Thisledo' was clean and cosy, with everything you could need in a quiet location but close to the centre and a dog friendly park. It had a very comfortable bed which to me is a very important when staying anywhere. The owner had left lots of information and we will be booking here again as there is so much to explore

Nice cottage a short walk from town centre
'Thisledo' was clean and cosy with everything needed to hand. Slept well - quiet location and very comfortable bed. Perfect if you want to be close to all facilities. Shops, canals, cinema, station all within a 10-15 minute walk.
There's no parking at the house but you can stop to unload nearby and park easily in the next side street.
The owner was very helpful and communicated well.

Thisledo Holiday Cottage Skipton
Excellent place to stay. Very very clean and well maintained. Only 5 minutes walk into town centre with plenty of places to eat and have a drink. Lovely coffee shop 1 minute walk away also. Will deffo stay here again without hesitation when we visit Skipton again hopefully next year.

Perfect for exploring
Although we have stayed at Thisledo and in Skipton several times, it seems that there is always something new to explore.
Skipton itself is lovely and the surrounding countryside is wonderful.
And where better to stay that Thisledo? A short walk into town, a very short walk to a superb coffee shop and a short drive to many places of wonder.
Thistledo is well equipped and comfortable, making it the perfect location from which to enjoy Yorkshire.

Great cottage in lovely area
Great cottage, close to many attractions in the wonderful surrounding area. Well equipped, clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Enjoyed lots of fantastic walks during this unexpectedly very hot week! Hope to return sometime in the future.

Brilliant stay
Very clean, well equipped, comfy holiday home. Nice little back yard that got the sun in after 7ish. Great to have a washing machine/freezer. Loved breakfast bar in kitchen to chill with a cuppa in the morning. Very enjoyable stay.

Thisledo holiday cottage offers many excellent features that make it a great choice for a holiday getaway.
One of the best things about this cottage is its location. It is situated in the charming market town of Skipton which is known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
The cottage is just a short walk away from the town center where you can find a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops.
Additionally, the cottage is minutes away from the open countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, providing easy access to picturesque countryside for hiking and outdoor activities.
Getting around
Skipton Bus Station located in Skipton Town Centre provides a choice of various bus routes into the Yorkshire Dales and even over to the dark side in Lancashire!
Skipton Railway station gives you quick access into Leeds and Bradford and you can even leave Skipton to journey on the Settle/Carlise railway.

How to get there
Thisledo Holiday Cottage is ideally situated in Skipton and is less than 15 minutes walk from the railway station & around 5 minutes in a taxi.
Over the years we have had a number of guests who have travelled to Skipton using public transport and they have all found the cottage location ideal.
Here are the directions is you want to walk. Exit the Railway staion and turn right and walk towards Skipton Town Centre, opposite B and M take a left up a slight incline towards the Leeds Liverpool canal, cross the canal bridge, walk along Brook Street towards Gargrave Road.
You have arrived, the holiday cottage is located on the row of houses behind the Paper Shop and the Coffee Shop.
