Whether this is your very first visit tot he island or you have been coming to the island (as some of our guests have) for decades you will Apartment 209 in the Leda Heights Resort with more than live up to your expectations of everything a spectacular holiday Penthouse should be. Set in the hills surrounding the Paphos town, the apartment is set in a quite hillside location yet within easy reach of the hussle and bussle of the Kato (lower) Paphos area that thousands of tourists flock to all year round.
Paphos town itself is made up of two districts, the seafront area of Kato (lower) Paphos, buzzing with cafe's, restaurant and an active nightlife, situated along a picturesque harbour on a low lying plain. Supermarkets, shops like Debenhams, Peacocks and boutiques and the usual tourists shops mark the Pafos Harbour area out as a popular tourist destination from all across the island and from around the globe. Katima or the old Paphos Town or Pano Paphos retains its old world charm, with its small boutiques, pretty narrow lanes, tavernas and coffee shops and bakeries and its charming architecture. Regular guided walks in this part of town take place every Thursday morning (information and leaflet on this and other activities across the island can be found at the C209 Leda Heights Penthouse apartment, if you are interested in joinig the group.
A walk along the harbour areas of Paphos and Latchi remain two of the most memorable activities of our guests. However, it is the hilltop setting of this apartment, in the village of Meso Chorio that gives this apartment and resort its the impressive panoramic views over the Paphos area and the spectacular sunsets guests enjoy.
From this central location you also have easy access to some of the best beaches on the island. You also have easy access to Polis, Latchi, Akamas, Coral Bay area. Guests have also enjoyed and taken day trips to the Troodos and the Northern Cyprus to the harbour of Kyrenia and the historical Vouni.
Family Fun
Families can enjoy outings to the Water Park and aquarium, when they are not relaxing on the beach or sightseeing. Or, they can just relax around the pool area at Leda Heights and have a splash in the pool from time to time to cool down.
Evenings Out
There are many places a visitor can enjoy a great evening out. Cabarets, discos, restaurants & hotels with live Greek and pop music mean you have the option of enjoy singing and dancing into the early hours of the morning. Or you may want to just enjoy a quiet evening exploring the many romantic cafes and tavernas,within easy reach of Leda Heights or the ever popular Pafos harbour area.
Food & Drink
Guest have the option to self cater, and our kitchen at Leda Heights is well equipped for that purpose. Or you may want to dine out and sample all the delights the Cyprot cuisine has to offer. Try the local Mezzes - a collection of hot and cold appetisers served in small dishes. Try Kleftiko, a local dish of lamb cooked very slowly in sealed earthenware pots in the villages.
The quality of the wine and beer will leave you surprised. Cyprus boasts four big wineries: EKTO, KEO, LOEL and SODAP as well as well established smaller wineries at Chrysorrongiatissa Monastery, Arsos, Agios Amvrosios, Anogyra, Pelendri, Koilani, Kathikas, Pafos to mention just a few. Cyprus is dotted with wine producing vineyards. If you prefer beer you will not be disappointed as you can enjoy refreshing locally produced Carlsberg and KEO beer on hot sweltering days.
Golf
The Aphrodite Hills Resort, the Secret Valley and Minthis Hills Golf club at Tsada are all within easy reach of the apartment, 0-40 minutes drive away.
You can enjoy all Year Round Golf at Aphrodite Hills. The Aphrodite Hills Resort is home to a magnificent 18-hole championship golf course, spreading over 6,299 metres and overlooking the site where Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is said to have emerged from the sea (Petra tou Romiou). The golf course also has a dedicated 3-hole Golf Academy and magnificent Clubhouse. This award-winning golf course was officially opened in 2002 and was designed by the acclaimed architect, Cabell Robinson. Robinson believes Aphrodite Hills to be the perfect mix of challenging pot bunkers, manicured fairways of lush Bermuda grass and generous tiered greens. Visually spectacular, the course expands through indigenous olive and carob trees and is built on two plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine with outstanding views over the Mediterranean Sea. A 130 metre gorge dividing tees at the par 3, the 7th hole is the perfect opportunity to put your skills to the test.
Beginners and experienced players of all abilities are encouraged to learn and improve their game at the Aphrodite Hills 3-hole Golf Academy, where a team of resident PGA qualified golf professionals equipped with a 'full video swing analysis system' can provide the very best one-on-one tuition.
With a large, double-ended driving range, a short game area with a large pitching and chipping green and a 3-hole Academy course, Aphrodite Hills Golf provides the perfect environment for learning golf before progressing to the full course.
The Secret Valley Golf Club is another prestigious golf course located in the area of Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite, 18km east of Paphos and 49km west of Limassol. Opened in 1996, the Secret Valley golf course, nestles in a scenic valley, surrounded by grand trees which add an aura of maturity to this fairly new golf course. The Sty Kingly rock formation offers panoramic views, giving golfers both the beauty of nature and the pleasure of golf. The golf course measures 5,904m and plays to a par 71, and players without a handicap certificate can play after noon on request, depending on availability. The facilities at the Secret Valley clubhouse in Cyprus offer a fully stocked pro shop, locker rooms, bar, a restaurant with verandas overlooking the golf course, putting greens, chipping areas, fairway bunkers, a large driving range, buggy rental, trolley rental (electrical and manual) and locker rental. Tuition is tailored to individual needs and can be conducted on a one-to-one or group basis.
Minthis Hills Golf Club, founded in 1994 on the hills of Tsada, set on the grounds of 12th century monastery, in a verdant valley. Created by Donald Steel and renovated by Mackenzie + Ebert in 2006/07. It plays to a par 71 and measures 5828 meters. Situated on the outskirts of Pafos, the altitude of 550 meters above sea level ensures cool breezes during the summer months. Directions: From Paphos you take the B7 direction Polis, at the village of Tsada you turn to the right into the village. Follow the E207 direction Kallepia until you find the signs towards the Golf Course, this is about 1 km from Tsada village. Turn to the right and at the end of this road you wil find the Minthis Hills Golf Club.
