Apartment Dalia, set in Zorica and Josip’s beautiful, tranquil gardens, offers utter relaxation. The apartment is fitted with everything you need for a stay on Vis and both Zorica and Josip do everything they can to ensure that you have a delightful stay on their property. I cannot recommend Estate Under the Paintbrush more.

We came to island Vis and to Estate under the Paintbrush after 11 years. and we spent the most perfect holiday, again :). We have enjoyed in our apartment, which is perfect for a family with kids. Apartment is very clean and very nice furnished with magical final touch of Josip’s art. Garden around apartment is fantastic, it provides great space for adults to enjoy in Mediterranean garden and perfect playground for kids. Zorica and Josip were perfect hosts to us! They took care for every need we had! So, thank you Zorica and Josip for a perfect holiday in your beautiful little piece of heaven

I had the pleasure of staying at the Apartments under the Paintbrush for a Yoga retreat in June, 2017 and I couldn't imagine having a better experience than I did! First, the Hosts: Zorica and Joseph go out of their way to take care of you during your stay and are so so lovely. They helped arrange for taxis, gave us advice on where to visit and arranged for the most wonderful cook during our stay. The Rooms: The estate is comprised of multiple apartments of varying sizes. I was in a 2 bedroom, and there were studios as well. Each room was clean and well-styled, had its own bathroom and kitchen and had WiFi. Many had patios and balconies too! The Estate: Crawling with beautiful flowers, lush vegetation and sprawling gardens that I'm pretty sure was a main food source for many of our organic meals! We all congregated in either the Ashram for yoga and mediation or in the outdoor dining area for our meals. I honestly couldn't recommend booking your stay here enough- it was truly magical!

Our yoga retreat was held at the Estate Under the Paintbrush and it literally couldn't have been better. The rooms are actually beautiful, spacious, furnished apartments, very modern amenities, and are decorated with original artworks. Zorica and Josef were so welcoming and gracious throughout our stay. They brought in a vegan chef from Split who cooked us meal after wonderful meal using many fresh herbs, fruits and greens grown right on the Estate's property. It is about a kilometer walk to the nearest beach but the walk is easy and scenic. Can't wait to return to this very special place and would recommend staying at the Estate, without any hesitation.

The Estate Under the Paint Brush exceeded my expectations. The grounds are filled with beautiful flowering plants and streaming with butterflys. Its an oasis on the stunning Island of Vis. The hosts are the best I ever had. You will feel very well taken care of by Zorica and Joseph. The best beaches on the Island are only a 10 minute walk from the Estate. The apartments are very spacious, modern and very comfortable with private terraces or porches connected to each one. I taught a yoga retreat here in June and it was an amazing experience. They hired a private vegan chef, Sanjushka, who cooked us the most exquisite food. All natural ingredients and with the fruits and vegetables from their own gardens and trees. My students and I felt so well taken care of. This is more then just a place to stay it is a truly calming and revitalizing place to unwind and connect to nature. I highly recommend it!

I went to a yoga retreat on the wonderful island of Vis, Croatia and stayed at Estate under the Paintbrush with Zorica and Josip. This is truly a hidden gem, surrounded by a blooming garden full of flowers and herbs, and a ten minute walk to the beach. There was a beautiful shala yoga room overlooking the garden. We had vegan dishes every night made by a chef who really should have her own cooking show, she is so amazing. I am not a vegan or even a vegetarian - but these were some of the most delicious meals I've had with incredible desserts - all made using healthy local ingredients and herbs from the garden around us. But most importantly, we were received with such warm hospitality and kindness by Zorica and Josip and their family. It was impossible not to feel a sense of peace in this place and we hope to return every year to this wonderful inn. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We regularly spent our family summer holidays on an Island Vis because of the untouched nature and beautiful beaches. We are staying in a small village Rukavac where Estate UnderThe Paintbrush is hidden from a real world. We recommend it because of the hospitality, openness & kindness of the hosts. Accommodation in apartment Dalia is comfort, nicely designed and big enough for a family with children. For those who like to cook on open air the stone barbecues are available for use in the garden. Apartment is air-conditioned and completely equipped. Deep shade on a large Terrace under the Pergola is as a God’s gift for an afternoon siesta. The smell of lavenders bushes from the wonderful Mediterranean garden is so calming in the evenings and available for children’s play. By the end of the day, we used to chat with other guests and our hosts in the open atelier of painter and artist Josip Karakaš. Art Studio is now also available for rent so one can enjoy in a large number of Karakaš’s paintings and art work in a first hand. Estate UnderThe Paintbrush is a place where my family truly enjoy, rest and completely relax. If you like nature, peace, clean azure sea, Vis is one of top “to see” destinations P.S. If you prefer to eat outside, we recommend local restaurant Pojoda and taverns: Dalmatino, Ferol, Golub, Roky’s and Stončica.
