Traditionally decorated with beautiful wooden ceilings and furniture with cool, tiled floors throughout, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing, Greek- island holiday. The open-plan apartment is bright, welcoming and comfortable. Beach and bath towels are provided and the apartment is fully serviced twice a week, with a change of linens and cleaning. You can drive right to the apartment and there is plenty of parking space outside. You'll find an iron, ironing board and hair-dryer to help you get ready for those evening meals in local tavernas – the fresh fish is of course amazing! Or stay in and cook in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with full-sized oven and four hotplates and double sink unit. You'll find a toaster, coffee maker, kettle and fridge/freezer for your daily needs. The L-shaped living/dining area has been extended for 2017, is air-conditioned and furnished with a large sofa, convertible to a single bed (or for two children), dining table and chairs, with a flatscreen / DVD player.. A fixed kitchen table separates the kitchen area. There are full-length French doors to the sea-view balcony at the front. WiFi is available throughout and there is gas central heating for those visiting in the cooler months. A roll-down sunscreen allows you to choose shade or sun while relaxing or dining on the balcony, which has been newly extended across the full length of the apartment. The balcony is equipped with a dining table and chairs. Gaze over to Evia and Skiathos and enjoy the spectacular sunsets! The first bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, TV, bedside tables, a chest of drawers, electric fan and air conditioning. Window overlooks rear of the property. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, single wardrobe, and bedside table. Window overlooks rear of property. There is a quiet stretch of beach just outside the apartment, so you can be swimming in the calm, clear sea within moments. The town beach is just a few minutes walk away, with sun-loungers and changing rooms. There's also a small paddle boat for guests to use just outside – perfect for kids to splash around in! A bus stop is 100 metres away, where you can take the local bus to explore the magical island of Skopelos. In high season buses are frequent and stop off at major tourist beaches along the south coast, but you'll find wilder, quieter ones along the north coast too. The pine-clad island is wonderful in every season – with the wild flowers in Spring and visiting Hoopoes being especially enchanting for nature lovers. Also known as 'Mamma Mia's island', you can visit the film's iconic monastery out at sea, as well as quieter, more secluded ones dotted through the hills. In summer you can find night-life and tavernas with traditional music and dancing well into the night, but the island never feels over-run with tourism. Just above Loutraki on the hill is the traditional village of Glossa, with some fabulous restaurants and quaint, narrow streets to explore. The island's main town, Skopelos, is just an hour's bus or ferry ride away, where you'll find more shops, services and activities. Among the things to do locally is sea-kayaking and paddle-boarding, with other water sports available on the island. The traditional donkey-paths that criss cross the island have been lovingly restored, providing hours of walking trails through beautiful nature. Skopelos is a place where you can enjoy an authentic experience of Greek island life. More

About the neighborhood
Loutraki is a small harbour for Glossa, the larger town above on the hill. With the ruins of ancient Roman baths, it's been an important harbour for a very long time! The views are stunning and the beaches quiet. While there are plenty of amenities - and in high season some nightlife - it remains a peaceful location. Perfect for family holidays, where you want to relax by the beach, eat good food and explore the real side of Greek island life.
Getting around
From the nearby bus stop you can take the local bus to explore the magical island of Skopelos. In high season buses are frequent and run between Loutraki and Skopelos town, (journey time approx 1 hour) passing the nearby village of Glossa and stopping off at major tourist beaches along the south coast, ideal for day trips. You can also take the ferry from Loutraki to Skopelos town or over to neighbouring Skiathos or Alonissos islands. Taxis are easy to pick up from Loutraki too.
