The nearest beaches are at Druidstone, a mile away by road, at Broad Haven and at Little Haven It is one of the few groups of leisure homes allowed by the County Council in this part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Timber Hill farm is around 130 acres in size, and the 38 cedarwood lodges are on a southward facing slope, overlooking a valley. The beautiful landscaped grounds have spacious lawns, a play area, a stream and ponds Cars may be parked within a few yards of each lodge. The lodges are well spaced, and there is a good amount of room for children to play, away from the road, down by the stream or on the hill opposite. There is a small 'help-yourself' shop selling milk and eggs, and a coin-operated washing machine and drier at the farm, but no other communal facilities. Wifi can be obtained from the farmhouse, at an aditional cost Our holiday lodge is located on a farm, just over the hill from the sea. It is quite small, but has 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 people, a kitchen, bathroom and living room, with a balcony outside. Its sensibly furnished to cater for families with children. The lodge has a bath and shower, blankets and duvets, pillows, a microwave, cutlery and crockery. There is an iron, an ironing board, a TV and a radio. Only sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, towels and tea towels need be brought. Timber Hill has free wifi. Pets are welcome provided you keep the lodge and the surrounds clean. And please remember that this is a farming area, and dogs may need to be kept on the lead in some places. There are no restrictions for dogs on most of the Coastal Footpath No 33 is let from Saturday to Saturday, To allow for cleaning we ask you to leave before 10.30 on the Saturday morning, and to arrive after 2 pm The Pembrokeshire coast, all encompassed by the Pembrokeshire National Park, is renowned for its cliffs, rocky headlands and beaches. On the off-shore islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm are some of the largest seabird colonies in Europe. The Coastal Footpath follows the sea all the way around the coast for an uninterrupted 190 miles. The nearest access point to the path is just 5 minutes from our door More

Perfect
33 Timber Hill had everything we needed. It was spotless could not fault it. The site itself was very peace and just a short walk from the beach. And the owner was most accommodating to our needs. We had a lovely and relaxing stay.

Beautiful setting
4 night stay at Timber Hill Lodges. Spotlessly clean when we arrived! Beds are sooo comfortable!! Door was open and key left on table, no check in required and we never saw nor spoke to the owner during our stay, which was fine but maybe a 'hi how is everything' would have been nice. The lodge we stayed in was fantastic! Spacious and well equipped with fantastic views. Few snagging issues: Floor in kitchen had holes, shower pole broken in bathroom, light in bedroom wasn't working but nothing my we couldn't live with. Tips: Pack fly spray - crazy amount of flys if you leave windows open. If its a sunny day lodge becomes an oven but a fan is provided which is excellent. Thin bedroom walls, so if your a light sleeper take ear plugs. Amazing walks and on your doorstep to the beach. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with rabbits and squirrels running about. Peaceful and private. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back. Also would also recommend the Sunshine Italian restaurant in Broadhaven. Booking is essential or take out pizza!!

Relaxing dog-friendly break in a lovely setting
Just got back from a three day stay at Timber Hill, our first trip away since lockdown and it was really lovely. Lodge is well-appointed, quiet and felt very private. Beds were fantastically comfy tho bathroom is rather modest! Surroundings so peaceful and perfect for dogs, and convenient for lots of local attractions - amazing local beaches. Very reasonably priced too.

lovely place
Set in a beautiful area close to the sea by foot through woods or by car. Everything needed at the lodge was there. Would visit again.

Fanastic holiday
We were really looking forward to our holiday at Timberhill and were so pleased when the Welsh government eased restrictions which enabled us to come! We were not disappointed and the amazing location just a short walk (or in our childrens' case-run!) from Broadhaven beach, really made the holiday.. On the evening of our arrival we literally had to tear ourselves away from watching the sun go down over the hoirizon at the beach...the photo opportunities just seemed to get better and better. We spent our week exploring so many beautiful beaches, all with something unique and amazing to offer. We all spent many happy times in or next to the sea. The lodge itself was great and for the 6 of us (2 adults and four children aged 6-10)was perfectly adequate. We loved the homely decor and the children loved watching the birds come right up to the window to be fed. The small kitchen was really well equipped and the living area was really comfortable. The only thing we could really have done with which wasn't available, was a place to dry our beach things every day. We managed with a makeshift piece of rope which we'd brought., but a washing line outside would be really helpful (maybe that's not allowed due to being a national park or something though...) Anyway, we really did have a wonderful time. Thanks

Thank you for your review. We had been waiting anxiously for the Welsh government to allow us to open. and luckily that was allowed from 11 July. I am glad that you enjoyed your holiday. We took your point of drying clothes and ordered a clothes drier to be delivered there from Amazon. Regards Graham & Lauris

Tranquil and cosy
I took my two boys and dog for the half term . It was last minute so I wasn’t sure what it would be like. On arrival you do t check in you just go to your lodge which is easy to find and the key is inside the door. We couldn’t open the door to begin with but then once we’d found the knack it was fine. The lodge had plenty of space, was clean and well equipped for our needs. The location of this cabin was perfect with the most beautiful views and very close to the games room which the boys enjoyed . There is a stream and play area which are all close . Having been to bluestone this is more basic but far less commercial and we barely saw anyone else which we were fine with. We stayed during storm Dennis but found lots of things to do everyday mainly because we were happy to embrace the elements and took old clothes which could get muddy . The kitchen is functional and we cooked most says as well as eating out in little haven and st davids. The large windows do seem to attract wasps and flies so this was a daily job to keep on top of bit I’m Not sure what could be done about that. The cabin was a little old and the heaters were a bit broken and one smelt terribly so we couldn’t use it . A couple of the lights didn’t work but that wasn’t really an issue. The weather was awful so if you were a light sleeper you have struggled to sleep as the noise of the wind was loud but for us that added to the experience . I hate camping so for me this is a perfect compromise at a very affordable price . The boys had lots of fun 👍

Great stay near the beautiful coast of Broad Haven
Extremely great location, spectacular view from the lodges. The coast is a quarter of an hour walk, the moment when you wake up you hear the birds chirping, we had a superb stay, also a very friendly receptionist. We had a pleasant stay, hope to do it again...

About the neighborhood
For young children the beaches are big and safe, with rocky pools to mess around in. Broad Haven beach is 1 km walk away, 2km by car. The complete unspoilt beach at Druidstone is 2km away, reached by a 200m path from the coast road. Dogs are allowed on all the localbeaches, though on half the beach only at Broad Haven in the ummer..Pembrokeshire has more 'Blue Flag' beaches than any other county in UK. Broad Haven is one of them. In addition to the local beaches, others within easy reach, such as Marloes Sands and Barafundle Bay usually rate among the best beaches in UK. . For more athletic pursuits there is surfing, golf, horse riding on the sands, wind surfing and fishing all close by. >There are small shops, pubs and restaurants in Broad Haven and Little Haven nearby, and main shops in Haverfordwest, 11km away. Our favourite place, for the food and its location, is The Druidstone, while if you like good beach food the kiosk at the south end of Freshwater West beach is recommended Easy day excursions can be made to Dylan Thomass boathouse ar Laugharne, to the Preseli Hills and to Newquay, where you may see dolphins from the harbour wall.
Getting around
There is a bus about seven times a day from Broad Haven to Haverfordwest. in addition the Puffin Shuttle minibus takes walkers and others on several routes along the coast. This passes Haroldstone Farm, about 10 minutes walk from Timber Hill.

How to get there
From London the fastest way to get to Timber Hill is by the M4 motorway, via the Severn Bridge. A more scenic route is along the A40 road, via Oxford, Gloucester, Abergavenny and Carmarthen. Our favourite lunch stop is the bakery at Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. From the Midlands and the North the M50 motorway connects with the A40 at Ross on Wye .To reach Timber Hill turn off the A40 from Carmarthen at Haverfordwest, and go straight on up the hill through the town. Turn right at the top for Broad Haven (B4341). Continue for approximately 3 1/2 miles, taking the right turn to Nolton Haven where the main road curves round to the left. There is a brown 'Timber Hill' sign at the corner. After a further mile and a quarter. ignore the road which forks right to Nolton Haven. Continue straight on for another half mile. The driveway to Timber Hill is on your left. When you arrive at Timber Hill the drive between the trees opens up. The road straight on leads to the farmhouse, but you will see a turning to the left that goes fairly steeply downhill. Take this turn and follow it until it levels out, where you will see a car parking area about 50 yards long on the right hand side. Park there. No 33 is the first lodge on the right at the far end of the parking area
