We are located in a peaceful setting just outside the busy village of St Merryn. The centre of the village is a 5-10 minute walk away and so very handy for popping to the shops for groceries, beach gear, petrol, newspapers and Malcolm Barnecutt's wonderful pasties. The village has a smattering of restaurants and cafes, a fish and chip shop and a pub in the centre. Rick Stein's Cornish Arms pub serves food and is 5 minutes walk outside the village.
The famous Seven Bays of St Merryn - Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine Bay, Booby's Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay, Harlyn and Trevone - are all only a short drive away. We also love going to Bedruthen Steps, which is 10-15 minutes drive away.
Padstow is 3 miles away and, apart from the obvious attractions of the harbour with its restaurants and shops, has a Boots and a Tescos supermarket. There is also a good farm shop just outside the town, off the road from St Merryn.
Wadebridge is another attractive, larger, town which, as well as being enjoyable to wander around, has supermarkets, chemists, hardware shop, etc.
