Set in Praia da Luz, Western Algarve. The villa is ten minutes walk to the sandy beach and just 10 minutes drive to the town of Lagos. There are also many other beaches within short driving distance. The resort hosts plenty of restaurants, bars and shops, within short walking distance (5-10mins). For those seeking more night life, Lagos is recommended.
There are several golf courses close by and two great water parks, the furthest being a 45 minute drive away. For anyone who has experience of 'Seaworld' in Florida, a day trip to 'Zoo marine' is highly recommended, again about a 45 minute drive. Open from March.

Len's villa is in a great quiet location 5-10 minutes walk from Luz beach, shops and restaurants. It has 3 good size bedrooms downstairs and a small private swimming pool which gets sun most of the day. The lounge and kitchen are upstairs, where there is a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The villa is suitable for families or 3 couples. We visited at the end of May when temperatures were in the mid 20's. The villa doesn't have air-conditioning, so not sure how comfortable it would be in mid-summer. If you don't have a car the local buses can take you to Lagos or Burgau. The owner Len replies to any queries promptly.

Great Holiday
First time in Luz, lovely pace for a chilled out holiday.
Villa was perfect. Four adults and two children. Any issues or questions were sorted out straight away mostly with in the hour.Len was very helpful and always eager to help.Everything is within a ten mins walk.Cheapest drinks are Kelly's Bar £2.60u and Barbers £2.50u a pint.
Just one thing to add is the supermarkets are very expensive compared to the UK.

And I agree about local supermarkets, pricey. If I remember right! You didn't have a car.
But driving 5/10 min we have Lidl & good priced supermarkets.

excellent villa
First time in Luz and loved it and Len's villa was amazing as well. it has 3 good size bedrooms and a lovely private swimming pool and everything you would need, in fact I contacted him twice about little items he replied within hours and they were sorted its a short 10 minute walk to the town and its lovely restaurants and beach, would like to go back again, the only item I would mention is it would be nice to have air-conditioning. thanks for a smashing holiday.

Perfect, very spacious villa with everything you could want in your own home
Never been to Luz before and was pleasantly surprised, lots of restaurants catering for all tastes, beach is wonderful and very clean with toilets, bars and eateries overlooking sea. I am into watersports and rented a catamaran for a couple of hours with the kids which was great fun.
Villa is just 5-10mins walk to beach and nearest restaurants, although there is a hotel across the road which we used a few times for late night drinks and even full English breakfast.
Coastal walks are excellent if your feeling energetic, west to Burgau is about 1.5hrs steady walk, stop at a bar for drink/snack before heading back. Also worth walking east up the hill to the obvious monument, views amazing!!.
Spent a couple of nights in Lagos which has more life and countless bars/restaurants worth a visit, also went to Salema which was very nice and also worth a visit.
The villa was perfect for just relaxing around the pool as the garden is very spacious and comfortably accommodated our party of 6. The balcony is also lovely for lazy mornings drinking coffee, croissants, and the local custard tarts which I forget the name of.
All in all a perfect family holiday destination and very well equipped villa, also the owner Len, answered any queries very quickly and gave a few tips and suggestions about where to go.

Lovley villa close to shops,restaurants and the beach.
The villa is lovley, every amenity you would want, clean with lots of storage. You can see the beach from the upstairs balcony. Praia de Luz is beautiful with a lovley beach, it suited us as it was quiet.
We feel the villa would suit families with younger children as its in a built up area and there is another villa attached. The reason i say this is because we arrived on the Friday and the children (13,15,17) went in the pool, this was repeated on the Saturday, on the Sunday we went out for the day so the pool wasnt used. On the Monday i received a text to say that the owner had received a complaint from his friend next door about the noise and my son playing football in the villa. He had a ball for the pool but certainly didnt have it inside as he wouldnt at home. The noise was just general noise of them jumping and diving into the pool.
After this i felt uneasy like we were being watched. Also when we arrived i noticed that one of the sunbeds was broken along with a parasol. Another sunbed was starting to crack underneath and on the last morning my daughter sat on it and the arm cracked completely. When we returned home the owner has made a claim for £80 to replace the beds. My one regret is i didnt take pictures on the first day of the sunbeds. I explained that they were already broken which he accepted but today he texted me to say "had all feed back from Sandra (cleaner) i think you know ! what a shame" he didnt explain the issues and i have just asked him to email me with the problem. Im not bothered about him returning our £100 security deposit, im hurt that he thinks we have damaged some of his property and the tone of his text.
All of this has upset me greatly. We have stayed in lots of villas and never encountered problems like this. Before we left i stripped all the beds, put the towels all together in the bathroom,swept and mopped the floors and emptied all the bins. We didnt damage anything whilst we were there.
As i have said the villa is lovley for a family but because of the issues since returning
it has spolied our memory of it.

Family holiday July 17
Absolutely brilliant.Villa was excellent well equipped with all we needed and more. Pool again brilliant and a big hit with the kids.All in all great villa in great location.Will definitely be returning.

Excellent child friendly villa
The location perfect, no need to hire a car. The villa was great and the pool amazing. Location ideal for all age groups. Would definitely rent this villa again.

Lovely villa, convenient location
The villa was spacious and well equipped and the childrenreallyenjoyed the pool as did all of our 4 generation group. It was in a more built up location than I would normally choose but this was not a problem. It was an easy walk to shops, bars restaurants and the beach.
Because the accommodation is upside down it did feel a bit strange carrying meat through the bedrooms for a barbecue. When you arrive in Praia don't make the mistake that we did of thinking that the road would be called Mote Lemos, that's the name of the residencia.

Aug can be more busy in High season.
Bedrooms are downstairs in Portugal, which keeps them cool.
There is a door at bottom of stairs which leads into garden.
This can be used for BBQ.

Perfect villa for family holiday
This villa was first class and really made our holiday.It is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities and equipment needed for holidaymakers.It is within easy walking distance of the beach,shop,bars and restaurants.The pool is a great size and we spent long lazy days lounging around in the generous terrace garden area.We also used the built in BBQ a couple of times during our stay.We would highly recommend it.

Just west of Lagos, Praia da Luz is a great Family holiday resort with all the amenities that go to make a fantastic all-round Family holiday. The village has a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants, although it has retained its character as a traditional Portuguese fishing village. The beach at Praia da Luz has plenty of water sports facilities and holds the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness, perfect for relaxing in the sun and taking a paddle to cool off. The neighbouring town of Lagos is a great place to visit especially to enjoy the heritage of this historic harbour town. There is also a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants in Praia da Luz and a nice marina to stroll around. There are a number of golf courses just a short drive from Praia da Luz and coaches take day-trippers to the local water parks.
