The penthouse is very spacious, with lots of facilities to occupy the younger generation. Hot tub, snooker table, sky tv and plenty of games, not forgetting wifi. Great village lots of lovely restaurant, with plenty to do,had some walks from the penthouse, hired ebikes and biked along the river, hired a speedboat from evian which is only 35 mins away. Beaches around the lake are good as well as visiting some of the local lakes in the mountains. A great summer holiday with great weather.

A fabulous week away in a gorgeous penthouse with views to die for
A week at Penthouse Caribou was just what I needed. The location is amazing with the most wonderful views. I was away with my boyfriend and a group of friend. The penthouse was ideal. It is very spacious with rooms for entertaining and rooms to relax not once did we feel like we were getting on top of each other.
I unfortunately had an accident on the second day of the trip so I was not able to ski. That did not matter at all in the apartment as there was so much to do and many rooms to recuperate in. A balcony to read, a hot tub to enjoy and I was able to eat al fresco. Penthouse Caribou is located in an adorable little village with all the things we required. I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends also.

Stunning chatel ! Fabulous ski holiday
The penthouse chalet was amazing!!! Loads of communal space for 13 of us and the hot tub on the balcony was brilliant.
The hosts were lovely and were only a phone call/text away if there were any issues.
Restaurants in chapelle had great food.
We rented cars so it was only 10-15 mins to the ski area so easy to get first lifts. The buses are also good too you just need to check the bus times.
Overall an amazing holiday!

An awesome spacious penthouse to stay with mates
We were lucky enough to stay at the Penthouse for an awesome ski trip with my mates in the first week in March 2020. The snow was great and we were off each morning on the first bus that leaves just outside. The Penthouse Caribou is well kitted out to cater for group stays. It offers a nice homely feel which is great when we came in off of the slopes. The addition of a hot tub on the balcony with fab views of the ski slope and mountains. The balcony also catches the evening sunset. The kitchen is well kitted out with utensils and crockery suitable to cater for larger groups. I am already looking forward to booking next year's trip again to stay at this Penthouse.

Fabulous penthouse that is spacious and comfortable in a beautiful area
Recently back from a lovely week at this chalet. Loads of space and everything you could need including games (and the TV to watch the Six Nations rugby!). Lovely village with good amenities and a big ski area. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind and temperatures were unusually warm so skiing was limited for the first few days but after the rain turned to snow and the sun came out we had 3 days of blue skies and fresh powder and could explore over into Avoriaz and the surroundings. The chalet was a warm and comfortable place to come back to after a day on the slopes and the hot tub was a nice treat.
Great recommendations from Jacqui and Martin for places to eat as well as ski hire and ski lessons. We felt very well looked after! Will definitely be back!

Fabulous Penthouse Appartment in La Chapelle-d'Abondance
This is a fabulous penthouse apartment in La Chapelle-d'Abondance. Shops, bars and a small local ski area are only a short walk away, with access to the full Portes du Soleil ski area only a 10-15 minute drive. Its a great place for large groups to have a wonderful time. We certainly did!

Yet another amazing ski holiday!
Had another amazing ski holiday staying at Penthouse Caribou. Apartment is fabulous: great views of Cret Beni, wifi, pool table, hot tub, log fire, well equipped kitchen and very spacious. Hosts, Jacqui & Martin, are very welcoming. Can't wait for my next visit!!!

An amazing chalet with superb hosts
This was our first visit to this beautiful chalet (friends of ours had told us about their positive experience) and it surpassed all our expectations. Jaqui & Martin are impeccable hosts who looked after us in every way - nothing was too much trouble. The chalet is modern, very spacious & comfortable, and even with a large group it didn't feel too cramped. It is ideally located in this lovely village with amazing views and easy access to shops & restaurants & ample parking. The chalet was spotlessly clean and has a lift to help with luggage on arrival. Our en-suite room had really comfortable beds, there was lots of hot water for showers/baths and plenty of space in the public areas to sit and relax or play games. We enjoyed a great week's skiing in the massive Port Du Soleil area and hope to come back again in summer and/or winter to enjoy the facilities this amazing chalet has to offer.

Brilliant apartment in Portes du Soleil
Just returned from our 5th stay in this great apartment. It has everything you need, well equipped kitchen with a large cooker so we cooked in most nights, lovely log fire, fast WiFi, pool table, hot tub. There was lots of space for our group, some new friends came this year and they loved it. Other good thing is the owner is really prompt in replying to emails. Highly recommend

Living up to expectations!
Back again for another week at the excellent Penthouse Caribou and pleased to see that fabulous has become even better with the inclusion of a hot-tub. Jacqui and Martin are great hosts and know the area so well; able to recommend the best slopes according to conditions and some great places for apres. If you get the chance to go to La Ferme du Papy Gaby, take it, it's a blast!

There are several local events all year round. Look up the Chapelle D'Abondance or Chatel local websites for up to date details.
As well as downhill skiing there are cross country trails, snow shoeing, dog sled and sleigh rides. Torch light descents, skidoo rides and local spa and beauty facilities.
In the summer months mountain biking, hill walking and climbing are the most popular pursuits. Other activities include white water rafting, cannyoning and the Fantasticable.
