The apartment faces south and is consequently bright and sunny. It has an inviting balcony which is very popular with guests who frequently take breakfast or an aperitif in the sunshine whilst enjoying the open view over Sarlat.
Attention has been paid to the details. The apartment has been furnished with great-looking, light, oak furniture. There are quirky lamps and paintings by a local artist, and a host of other personal touches, giving Cezanne its charming character. The apartment features a generous living room with separate dining area and a well equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has an exceptionally comfortable king size bed with fresh, crisp, cotton bed linen and soft pillows. The bathroom has a walk in shower with hot water on tap and big, fluffy towels.
There is mobile air conditioning and silent fans in the apartment.
Oh, and there is free on-site parking and free fibre high speed WiFi.

The apartment (living room, bed room, kitchen, bathroom and a small balcony has everything one needs. Good bed, great shower. Tastefully furnished, very clean and a bootle of Rosè in the fridge. Washing machine and dryer in the house. Guest are invited to make use of the garden. No problem to park the car.
Excellent location. The walk to the center of Sarlat is just 5 minutes. Sightseeing and shopping is within easy reach.
The contact to the owners was very easy and friendly. I feel welcome from the first moment on.
I can highly recommend to stay at Maison Pierre d'or. I loved it.

Great location and hosts
We loved staying at this cozy apartment. It has everything needed for a short or longer stay. Walking distance to town but central to all the sites in the region. Wonderful hosts!

Excelente apartamento en Sarlat-la-Caneda
Un pequeño apartamento, superlimpio y decorado con cariño que te hace sentir como en casa. Hemos estado unos pocos días, pero estando tan cómodos hubiera sido sencillo alargar nuestra visita… por meses.
El apartamento esta a un corto paseo del centro de Sarlar-la-Caneda y en el centro de una región de Francia especialmente bonita.
Especial mención a los propietarios del apartamento que ponen todo de su parte para que tu visita se Especial. Sorry, Maggie and Ahm for my English. Thank you so much for everything. The hospitality was amazing and everyone was fantastic. Thank you very much for taking care of us for the past mounth, we hope to see you soon.

Lovely Apartment in beautiful Sarlat
We wanted to relax in an apartment, within walking distance of Sarlat with parking and Maison Pierre D’Or fitted the bill brilliantly. Not huge but certainly big enough for 2 with everything you could possibly want. Maggie and Ahm were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. They have a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area which we took full advantage of. A visit to Domme is a must. The view from one of the several restaurants was amazing. I have no reservations about recommending the apartment or Sarlat you will love them both.

An excellent place to stay for exploring the Dordogne Valley
My wife and I rented this beautiful apartment for a week and have just returned from a marvelous trip to the Dordogne Valley. This apartment was completely renovated three years ago with new furniture, new appliances, fresh paint, etc. The apartment has three rooms plus a bathroom. The kitchen is a separate room. The rooms are small, adequate for two people but not for more. The apartment comes completely equipped with everything but a clothes washer and dryer. We were able to use the washer and dryer in a separate space accessed through a doorway on the other side of the building. The owners provided starter quantities for everything needed in the apartment including, coffee, olive oil, dishwasher pods. They even provided a welcome package with goodies to get us started.
The owners are friendly, helpful and fluent in English. They provided a booklet with a list of their personal favorites for things to see and places to eat.
The apartment is about 10 minutes walk to the center of town but has numerous advantages over an apartment in the center. First of all, the apartment comes with a parking space included in the rent and just outside the apartment. The apartment is north of the city center, allowing one to easily visit Les Eyzies, Lascaux, Souillac and any place to the north, east and west of the city without driving through Sarlat. Traffic in Sarlat is heavy during most of the day. Of all the towns in the area, Sarlat has the most restaurants and lots of pretty streets to ambulate. Being able to access the city without finding parking first is a big plus.
This part of France is full of interesting and beautiful things to see that are all within 30 minutes of this apartment. We were there for a week and did not come close to running out of things to see and do.

Take me back!!
Cannot recommend highly enough! Wonderful clean apartment that really feels like a home from home. Could really get used to being able to sit out on the balcony every morning and enjoy the sunshine (especially with fresh croissant and coffee!).
Maggie and Ahm are lovely and welcoming and available if you need them for anything. They had plenty of recommendations for places to eat and visit in the local area which was really useful and helped me get the most out of my visit.
Sarlat is stunning and a very short walk from the apartment. Not had such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in a long time, I’ll definitely be back to stay again.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub an der Dordogne und mit ein Grund war diese wunderschöne Wohnung. Alles sehr gepflegt,sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Beide sprechen perfekt englisch und das machte es uns als "Französischdiletanten" natürlich sehr einfach. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut! Man ist zu Fuß in 5-10 Minuten direkt in der Altstadt ohne aber im direkten Getümmel der Touristen unterzugehen und - ganz wichtig- es gibt einen Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür, also kein ständiges Suchen oder gar Bezahlen. Ein Supermarkt ist nicht weit entfernt, aber auf dem Markt (mittwochs und samstags) ist es sowieso viel spannender! Der Ort ist optimaler Ausgangsort für all die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung. Innerhalb von 30-60 Minuten ist alles mit dem Auto erreichbar! SUPER! Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die Straße direkt vor dem Haus, die zum Krankenhaus führt, aber für uns war das nicht wirklich ein Problem. Ganz lieben Dank unseren herzlichen Gastgebern für die tolle Zeit in Sarlat

Perfect apartment for two people, great hosts and excellent location
Staying in Cezanne was an absolute joy and perfect for two people. After our long journey the thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated, we thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of wine and the other goodies. The apartment had everything we needed and was really well thought out. The small balcony was great for breakfast and caught the sun most of the day.
The gardens at the property we’re beautiful and great in the early evening sun.
The Walk into Sarlat was so easy there was no need to worry about parking or driving , which meant we got some exercise!
Maggie and Ahm were really great hosts and very considerate, nothing was too much trouble.
If we return to the Dordogne we would definitely stay there again

Beautiful apartment in an ideal location - highly recommended
Clean and spacious apartment - beautifully and tastefully furnished and complete with everything required for a relaxing holiday. The personal little touches make all the difference when it comes to choosing accommodation and this apartment has those in abundance. The owners were very helpful and friendly and provided all the assistance we required prior to our departure from the UK.
Great location, lots of places to visit nearby and the local restaurants are excellent - highly recommended.

Sarlat la Caneda is in the Perigord Noir in the Dordogne region. The town is famous for its medieval buildings in the centre. It is beautiful, especially in the summer when its streets and squares are bustling with markets and events and lovely restaurants.
The surrounding area is stunning. In every direction you will drive along breathtakingly beautiful roads dotted with picturesque little villages. There are castles, caves, gardens, beaches on the river, cycle tracks, hot air balloons, kayaking, etc etc etc. Whether you want to relax in a little bistro enjoying the local wines and traditional fare, or you fancy exploring the caves, there is something for everyone.
Getting around
It's useful to have a car if you intend to see the surrounding area.
There are shops within walking distance, a Carrefour 10 minutes from the house, but the main supermarkets are about a kilometre away.
