Loved our villa - sad to leave such a beautiful location
We stayed for a week in October with another couple and enjoyed the house and its location immensely . The property manager , Bianca , was very helpful and friendly and the owner Julian was very cooperative and efficient when I was booking .Bianca met us nearby on the first day and showed us the way to the house . She also gave us very valuable information regarding local shops and restaurants . We loved the local fresh pasta and homemade cake shop and the wine and smallgoods shop . We only tried one nearby restaurant - which was excellent and great value ( Le Caseline ).The house itself was very comfortable and with amazing views from every window and door . It was an ideal location for day trips to surrounding Umbria .The only minor negative was that we didnt find the in-house home cooked meal to be very good value . We much preferred to buy the delicious local produce (esp pasta and truffles and olive oil) and cook it ourselves or eat out . We would highly recommend this property to any visitor to this stunning part of the world .

Casa molto confortevole con vista eccezzionale
Abbiamo avuto delle vacanze indimenticabile. Casa spendida, wifi eccelente per i nostri giornali, piscina privata. La signora Lauteri ci ha auito con tutte le nostre questione. Accoglienza straordinaria. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. La casa è situata non lontana dalla superstrada e tutte le città della regione sono facile a raggiungere: Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Bevagna, Montefalco, Foligno. Ottimi vini!

Truly magic location and beautiful, sensitively renovated house
End-to-end an outstanding vacation experience. Extremely helpful owner, providing immediate response and advise to a number of queries before booking. Truly magic location and beautiful, sensitively renovated house with a large, terraced garden and private pool. The pictures are great but not nearly conveying the beauty and peacefulness of this place. Everything (house, garden, pool) very well maintained and managed. Very helpful and friendly house manager has been available to help throughout our stay. Located on top of a hill and part of a small village, it provides breathtaking views from almost anywhere in the garden. Stayed with my three children at the age of 13, 11 and 7 who rated the house and location 11 on a scale from 1 - 10. Authentic food shopping in the close by village. Great place to explore Umbria and its close-by cities, such as Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi, Montefalco, Spello, Arezzo. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone who seeks to combine peacefulness and a majestic settings with the comfort of having a true home away from home with Italian's great cultural offerings

About the neighborhood
This seventeenth century stone farmhouse enjoys a spectacular setting in the heart of Umbria. It over looks the Spoleto Valley with views across to the city of Spoleto in the south and to Assisi in the north. The house is situated at 800 meters in the hills above the Spoleto valley looking to the east and so enjoys sunlight throughout the day but also, during the summer months, the benefit of fresh mountain breezes. The village shop, a short walk down the hill, has fresh eggs and ricotta from the local farmers and all the basics one could need. The beautiful city of Spoleto is seven Km drive away. The airports of Rome are one and a half hour’s drive and the local airport of Perugia, “San Francesco d’Assisi” in Sant’Egidio (with regular Ryanair flights), is 30 minutes away. Fast Eurostar train services from Rome, with Fiumicino airport connections, run regularly throughout the day. If you prefer to arrive by train we are happy to organise a car to meet you at Spoleto station and bring you up to the house. Avis car hire has an office in Spoleto. The walking route ‘Cammino di San Francesco’ (Saint Francis Walk) runs from Assisi to Rome through the village.
