Wir waren mit unseren beiden Jungs 2 Wochen im Casa Julian zu Gast. Die Wohnung hatte alles was man zum Urlaub benötig. Der wunderbare Pool, direkt am Haus wurde täglich gesäubert und natürlich auch von uns genutzt. Jan hat uns immer bei allen Fragen sofort weitergeholfen und auch Insider Tipps gegeben. Wir waren alle rundum zufrieden und können das Haus nur empfehlen. We were two weeks with our two boys in the casa julian guest. The apartment had everything you need for a vacation. The wonderful pool, directly at the house was cleaned daily and of course also used by us. Jan always helped us with all questions immediately and also gave insider tips. We were all completely satisfied and can only recommend the house.

Myself and my family have just returned from a vacation at this lovely location. All I can say is wow. What a great holiday we had and Jan's hospitality was marvellous. I can whole heartedly endorse Case Julian for a great holiday.

Lovely villa with brilliant pool. The view from the garden was one of the very best we have seen. Really clean apartment and very comfortable beds. Plenty of shade and plenty of sun around the pool. We took a 12 and 15 year old and they had a great time. Owner Jan welcomed us very warmly. She's really helpful, and suggested restaurants and took us to a local festival. From here, we visited Montepulciano and Siena. There's a small shop a mile away, much better shops 12 minutes away by car.

Wonderful and relaxing stay at Casa Julien in April 2018 beautiful scenary and weather. Jan is such a fabulous host very informative. Lots of lovely resturants and days out that were recommened and they didnt disappoint.

We (2 adults and 2 under 12 year olds) had an amazing time at Casa Julian: the house was ideally located for explorations to the big tourist draws of Siena, Florence and the many stunning hill top towns that dot the Umbrian and Tuscan landscape as well as Castiglione del largo. Added to this, the wonderful Jan was a font of knowledge, wisdom and very handy practical tips which really added to the holiday, and our night at the local village fiesta, complete with trumpet playing Peter Andre lookalike, will remain with us for a long, long time. Thank you Jan! I could go on and on praising Jan, the apartment and that part of Umbria, but perhaps it is easier to summarise just what an amazing place Casa Julian is by stating that my 9 year old cried both the night before we left, and on the morning we left (to go on to Rome for a few nights) because he had completely fallen in love with Casa Julian and the Castiglione del Lago / Lake Trasimeno area and didn't wish to go. We will definitely be heading back to Casa Julian as we've left a little bit of our soul there!

We spent a month in GIrasole, the larger of the apartments, and felt this was a very good choice. There were two terraces facing different views - the view from the back was beautiful! - so that we could choose where to eat out and drink. The wildlife was excellent, especially the birds, and we loved the Sardinian Warblers that visited. Jan herself is delightful, kind and helpful. When I had a spell in the local hospital (excellent!) she visited and offered lots of help. We didn't take up the offer of her wine tours as we are very experienced having stayed in Italy for more than 24 years, but reports of them were so good I think we should have tried one! Jan keeps 6 adorable chickens and we soon learned to love them and also their beautiful eggs! Her pets are very well controlled and well behaved. Some evenings were quite chilly, and we made good use of the fire. The fireplace is very well designed and easy to maintain, and there was a generous supply of logs. All in all, a good stay!

Lovely spot in the Umbrian hills with view of Lake Chiusi and close to Lake Trasimeno and Umbrian hilltop towns. Jan is a friendly and helpful host with charming dogs and chickens. We found the accommodation clean and comfortable. Need to return to see more!

What a great experience, in a lovely setting, from the pool you are overlooking the beautiful Logo the Chiusi. The appartment was great, good beds, a lot of space nice atmosphere. The owner is fantastic, she even took us to one of the local `festas` and we would not have wanted to miss that. Than you´ve got the real Italian feeling. We have stayed at Casa Julian on several occasions at different times of year and have always received a warm welcome. We have found the apartments clean and comfortable with all amenities supplied together with a lovely welcome pack from Jan, who is a friendly and helpful hostess. The location is beautiful, you could say, the jewel in the crown, with superb views, swimming pool and garden in which to relax with a glass of the local wine. The house is well situated for visiting places of interest both local and further afield and Jan is also on site to help with travel information and local places to eat. We have found it useful that Jan speaks English and Italian.

We have been back to stay at Casa Julian several times and we are now planning our next holiday here. Jan is always welcoming, the accommodation is always clean, comfortable and well laid out. Clean sheets and towels every week, food welcome package to get us started, wine and fresh eggs for sale. My teenage daughter loves laying by the pool as well as going out and about, and Casa Julian provided the best of both worlds. We have stayed at Casa Julian during the Spring, Autumn and Winter as well as during the Summer and Jan has helped us make the most of every visit. We have been to Christmas church services, enjoyed summer fiestas, loved the architecture in Florence and Pisa, relaxed at a hot baths and spa, eaten more cake and ice cream than we really should. A car is recommended to get out and about but it is less than 10 mins to several local villages all of which are picture perfect. All in all a great holiday destination.
