Our group of 9 spent a perfect week at this lovely villa during the grape harvest September/October of 2013. Our second evening we were served a wonderful Tuscan meal including what was easily the best lasagna any of us had ever tasted. We "helped" with grape harvest one morning, shared the lovely patio area every evening (with a glass or two of wine) and enjoyed the view of the vineyards and olive trees from the pool area, even tho the pool was already closed for the season. We were met by the owner (no English) and her daughter, son, and other family members a few minutes later (English) who showed us the property, etc. and presented us with a bottle of their wine. The location made it easy to plan day trips by car to Cortona, Greve in Chianti, Sienna, and more as well as to Florence (twice) on the train. We would return to this villa in a heartbeat. Villa il rocolo is a "good year in Tuscany."
