Visited many places in Indonesia- this is by far our favourite!!
Our family of 6 spent 5 wonderful nights in Bebalistay and Bebalilodge. From the moment we arrived we were in awe of the natural beauty that surrounded us. The short walk to the Villa was absolutely stunning and from that moment we knew we had chosen the perfect spot to spend quality time as a family. We were quickly given a tour of the Villas and I can honestly say that both Villas were amazing. They were so unique, clean and tastefully decorated and the views were breathtaking. The pool was beautiful and clean and a wonderful spot to sit and relax and soak up the natural beauty. We watched fireflies at night, locals climbing trees to collect coconuts and occasionally cheeky monkeys at play! But what made our stay most memorable was our beautiful hosts. “Thank you” Made and family for making our holiday so perfect. Such a warm, genuine family that truly made our stay a 5/5 experience. Our only regret was spending 5 nights in Ubud and 10 nights in Legian, we wished we had of spent our entire trip in Bebalistay! 💕🙏🙏🙏

Perfect Ubud Villa Experience
BeBaliStay was an unexpectedly amazing experience right out of a travel show. We got in late and the very knowledgeable, kind and patient Kadek picked us up from the airport at midnight. We reached the airbnb, in the middle of the rice paddies in Ubud, at around 1 am. The first thing that we noticed was the wonderful earthy aromas of the land. The home is located on Kadek and his family’s farm. There was a rushing of a stream nearby. We walked a few meters through a winded path to a beautiful carved door which led up to the villa. The home is exquisitely made of Balinese wood and complements the environment wonderfully. It is situated in a small valley of sorts on the farm and the view is of tiered terraces of paddy rising up to the horizon. There, at the very bottom is a cute infinity pool with a slightly out of place giant hot pink flamingo float. The building itself is two floored with the ground floor comprised of a huge bedroom and sitting room combined with a King sized bed and sitting area. The bathroom is spotless and has all the requisite amenities. On the mezzanine floor outside, is the well stocked kitchen with all the bells and whistles one would need for a short or long stay. Upstairs, there is large living area with a bar and well stocked fridge. There is also a chalkboard menu of the large list of reasonably priced foods both hot and cold and beverages that you can order or take from the mini fridge. There was complementary tea and coffee as well. We found delicate carved Balinese furniture everywhere and all the spaces tastefully decorated. This living space opens up into a bedroom which has a huge bathroom in the back. The size of the bed is the same and the bathroom has a huge tub to soak in. All of this is supplemented with a wide wrap around balcony that offer unparalleled views of the surroundings. After spending a peaceful night (we were exhausted from a long day of flying and layovers) we were woken up to a wonderful breakfast of noodles (we requested vegetarian), fresh cut papaya, bananas, jackfruit and mangosteen along with a hot cup of delicious Balinese coffee. This is was prepared for us by hand by the versatile Made, Kadek’s wife who looks after the guests in their home. When asked for a massage, she whipped out her table and gave us a massage there overlooking the fields which was quite lovely. Afterwards, she recommended rafting for which we were picked up on motorcycles to the rafting spot. The coolest part was when we realized that the endpoint to the rafting journey was right by the villa and Made graciously offered us a massage at the end as we wearily climbed up from the river valley. (Be warned, lots of steep stairs). All in all, a fantastic stay at BeBali, one that we will remember for a long time and wholeheartedly recommend.

Be Bali Stay
The villa was beautiful and comfortable. Everyone was so kind and helped in any way they could when we needed something. The food was great and cooked with love. The pool area was extremely relaxing and with amazing views of the rice fields. Also the driver was always available and helpful. Overall a great place to stay, would definitely go back!

Time of my Life
From the airport our group was promptly greated by Wayan, he gathered our luggage and drove us to Be Bali Stay, during the drive he was able to answer many questions I had as this was my 1st trip to Bali. Pointing out local traditions and places of interest. Once at the villa we met Made, she was amazing, provided a tour of our accommodations. It was late evening when we arrived and she provided a home cooked Balinese meal. It was delicious and exactly what we needed as we were tired from the flight and excitement. The place was very clean and had the comfort of a home not a hotel. Our luggage was brought to the house for us and the person waited with the luggage until we decided which room each of us wanted. So nice to have the extra care, I never had to pull or carry my luggage around as they did that for me. We had full access to a second kitchen, it was only steps away from our house, there I was able to use any items like knives, pots, extra hand towels and codiments. Every day was started with a Balinese breakfast yummy, and then I would have a massage and dip in the amazing pool, the view from the pool was beyond my thoughts. After my dip in the pool I woulld go for a long walk on the property, each day I explored a new part of the farm, I saw many animals, fruit trees a fish pond and was able to get some great pictures. I walked up to the top of the rice patty field and again saw a view of beauty that was beyond my imagination. Hiked the steps to the river and watched people going along in rafts having an amazing time. The Cooking class with Made was so much fun, it reminded me of childhood memories, and tasted amazing. Full written recipes were provided at the end of the class. Wayan took us to the market and was able to provide an experience with the suckling pig, the use of farm tools in Bali, and ptovided the proper language to purchase items at tge market for fair prices. He also explained the history and importance of the market to us. Wayan also dropped us off at any location we planned and would pick us up at the end of our day, which was often really late. No matter what time we called he always provided transportation for us. If we ever needed anything we just asked and it was promptly provided to us. Extra towels, coffee & tea etc. There was never any push for us to do activities, to me it seemed as though Made, Wayan and the rest of the crew there only wanted is to feel at home and enjoy our time there. As for the construction, this was minor and often I did not even know they were working. They dont use machines, I would watch them sift gravel by hand and use ropes to move items up and down. Plus each worker was very respectful and only talked to me when I would make the first contact with them. Thank you Made, Wayan, grandpa and the massage ladies for a truly relaxing fun experience. I will return to Bali and definately be back to Be Bali Stay.

„Our expectations towards the accomodation were quite high, due to high ratings and pretty high price“
To be honest, the view might have been amazing, but there were noisy construction works held right next to the villa, of which we were not previously aware and got no apologize for till the end of our stay. Made welcomed us uppon arrival and showed us around the villa, which at first sight looked good. Right after she found out there will be just 2 of us she asked us to decide which floor (there was one bedroom on each floor) we want to use and wanted to take the keys from the other one. We however payed for the whole villa so naturally kept the keys from both floors. My question is why was she even trying? This was not the worst to be mentioned. As the biggest negatives we see mainly complete lack of privacy since Made, her helper and their grandfather were almost all the time somewhere in the villa or in the garden (it was normal that we were changing clothes in the bedroom and suddenly saw someone passing around the window). I would say this is completely inappropriate place for a couple which needs their privacy. Second biggest negative was Mades "kindness" which to us is by many missunderstood and in reality is just very pushy sales praktique trying to sell some turistic activities from which she of course has profit. If you expect you will have a private villa with functioning kitchen, you are very wrong. There is not even a proper knife to cut some fruit just to buy all the food and drinks from her, since she offeres this service. !!!!AS THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE WE SEE THE HYGIENE!!!! No words needed just look at the pictures. Our expectations towards the accomodation were quite high, due to high ratings and pretty high price (the price is comparable to the 5 star hotel in Ubud). The only outstanding quality however remained the wonderful view.

We would like to express our thankfulness to stay with us. However, we feel sorry that you were not satisfy with your stay. We would like to clarify some points that we were not based to the fact or misunderstanding. Our price is clearly mentioned on the site for two bed room house with private swimming pool. It was idr 2.000.000 per night. We are not sure which five star hotels in Ubud offer two bed rooms villa with private swimming pool with that price. We were having construction in our property but it was not right next to our Bebalistay. There is another house that already finish next to it then the construction site. We were express our apology for the constraction from the begining when the guest arrive and we do it again when they depart. We were doing our best to minimize the noise by only using machine or doing hammering when the guest not in the house . At this present time the construction has been stop . The reason we asked which room to be used is to find out where our grandfather should bring the luggages so he does not have to bring it up and down. There is no intention of us for not letting the guests to use both rooms. We gave all keys of the house to all our guests. In fact , Natalia used both rooms. Some nights in one room and some nights in other rooms . We were happy to assist them to move the luggages . We come to the villa to serve breakfast , to clean the house and water the plants, do our daily offering. We asked the guests what time they would like to have breakfast . We then come 1 hour before the agreed breakfast time to have some preparation time . We informed guest about this . We were doing our daily offering when the guest having breakfast. During breakfast we asked the guests what they their plan for that day either they need the free shuttle or not. We also gave some information or suggestion for things to do around our place or Ubud area . We are sorry that Natalie feel that we puss them to take our suggestion. In fact , they were not getting any paid activities that we informed them . They only take our free shuttle to go to town every single day during their stay. During the breakfasts , we also asked them what time is suitable for cleaning the house. Some days they did not want the room to be cleaned so we did not come to the villa. Some days they allow us to clean the rooms and agreed to a time . When we clean the house , our grandfather also clean the garden. We need about two hours to do it. When we finish cleaning, we all leave the house for them. Some days we cleaned the house when they are not in the house. As far as we know , we did not have experience to saw them changing clothes when we around. Our downstairs bed room only has glass windows and doors but they all have curtains. If the guest did not close the curtains then it might be seen from the rice field accros the river/valley. We can not stop the farmers to go work in the rice field. Farmers do not go to rice field through our house . They have their own path outside our property. Natalie said we do not have kitchen cutleries . We are sorry to say, that is too much out of the facts . We cook meals for our guests including Natalie's breakfast everyday in the same kitchen at our Bebalistay. How can we cook those meals without proper cutleries ? Natalie went to the kitchen few times to see us preparing breakfasts for them. We informed them that they can use the kitchen if they want to cook lunch or dinner them self. We did not notice they were ever bring any grocery for cooking them self. They were eating out for lunch and dinner during their stay everyday. Yes, we provide lunch and dinner at extra cost but we have no intention to push our guests to have lunch and dinner in our place unless they asked . We providing that service as we realized that our house is not walking distance to any restaurants in Ubud area. The price of our menu are also below average of most restaurants in Ubud area. We do not really understand when Natalie said that our house is 'lack of hygiene by seeing the photos at this site'. Our house is made of old recycled wood and we finish them using whitewash . We also choose flooring that is not shinny to match the old vintage look that we want. Our furniture also made from old recycled wooden boat. It does not look polish shinny and modern. But they are cleans as it can get for old wood. We understand not everybody like our vintage idea. We appreciate all feedback from our guests . It encourage us to do better and better. However , we also have to mention the facts that we know to avoid misleading informations to other guests.

Leuk is anders.

Heaven
This house was absolute perfection. Looks exactly like it does in the pictures, if not better. Mattie, the lady of this house was a dream! Her cooking was the best food I had in all of Asia. She handled everything (tours/pickups/ drop offs/cooking) swiftly and with such kindness. I would recommend this to anyone going to Bali. Side note: the bed and pool were amazing!!!

A home stay with a touch of resort style living and service.
From the moment we were greeted by Kadek and Ni Made we knew we were in for a real treat. The home itself absolutely surpassed our expectations and the photos do not do it justice. It is simply magnificent and that view to the rice paddies just takes your breath away (every single day) We were there during harvesting so it wasn't as green but still amazing. It did become a little smokey at times, which I understand is part of the harvesting, it didn't bother us too much, but if we were asthmatics it may have been a problem. Made's service and housekeeping is second to none, and you simply can't go past her home cooked meals, which we ate every night. Our family of 5 all stayed on the top floor because we felt that with no internal stairs our children (7, 5 and 3 y/o) were too young to sleep alone. They slept in the Day bed in the front room, it doesn't have airconditioning but it actually stayed a comfortable temperature throughout the night. Would highly recommend the market tour, and cooking class. Our kids had a fun time feeding the pigs, cows and fishing from the little pond. They particularly liked playing with Ni Mades children and although they didn't speak the same language, it was a lovely experience for them to meet Balinese children their own age. From the very first moment we felt so comfortable and completely relaxed at BeBalistay. It is a true glimpse into the traditional Balinese lifestyle that you would not be able to experience any where else. A home stay with a touch of resort style living and service. Thank you so much for having us Ni Made, Kadek and family, we look forward to returning again soon. :) :)

A true Bali experience
We stayed at the house for 3 nights, we also used the driver that owns the house for 5 days. I have used the driver many times over the last 4 years and this was my first time using the newly built 2 story home. The house is very lovely and has everything you need to be comfortable, including your own cook for the meals. Very reasonably priced meals and breakfast was included. Your private swim pool is amazing, and you are really in the middle of the rice fields and jungle. After this stay, I won't stay any place else.
