About the neighborhood
Travel is by car and Ballycurrin is 4 miles from Headford town, which has all amenities including shops, pubs, choice of restaurants and a large supermarket. Galway City Centre is within 25 minutes drive.

This is an ideal location for exploring the West of Ireland, Connemara and Yeats Country.

Connemara is wonderfully scenic and stretches from Galway up into Mayo. There are many driving, walking and cycling routes and it would take weeks to truly explore all of Connemara but there are many one day routes that can be taken from Ballycurrin Lodge to give you a true sense of the beauty of Connemara. These routes include; Kylemore Abbey and its gardens; the landing place of Alock and Brown in Clifden; Killary Fjord and the location for films such as The Quiet Man and The Field.
