Situated just yards away from the picturesque harbour of Portknockie 'Tigh na Cala' is a traditional detached stone built cottage, and located in the old part of Portknockie on the Moray Firth coast. The spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom property has been completely renovated and refurbished to a high standard by the present owners and can comfortably accommodate 7 people. On a clear day there are views towards the Caithness coast, and during the summer evenings you can watch the sunsets disappearing over the sea. You may also catch a glimpse of the dolphins as they pass by.
Portknockie is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday and local activities include golfing, coastal walks, many suitable for cyclists. Malt Whisky, Castle and Heritage Trails are all easily accessible.

On holiday with my daughter and son in law and two dogs . Portknockie is so central to travel along the coast. Ice cream at Cullen is a must

What a wonderful cottage. Everything you could ask for and the pillows were so comfy I have ordered some for home ! Brilliantly placed for the whisky trail and many castles. Would love to go again and see the northern lights through Bow Fiddle rock....More

About the neighborhood
Portknockie is a lovely peaceful fishing village and overlooks a natural harbour on the Moray Coast. Portknockie has a fantastic community spirit and has won 'Best village in bloom' many times in the past. There are many coastal walks from the cottage along the rugged cliffs which lead to coves and beaches, and you may pass the local landmark of Bow Fiddle rock. You could also walk or cycle the old railway viaduct from the village to Cullen a couple of miles away. Or just sit at the top of the harbour and watch the activities of the harbour. The area has a variety of wildlife with colonies of seabirds, dolphins and seals.
