Located just outside the village of Hockwold, Willow Holt is in a secluded location, yet within an hour's drive of Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and little over an hour to many of the North Norfolk coastal resorts.
The cottage includes 2 bedrooms and an open-plan living area, and is ideal for families. Cot and highchair available.

The local area includes the beautiful Thetford Forest, with many options for walkers and cyclists, and several important bird-watching reserves are also a short drive away.

Thanks for the review. I'm sorry that the outside area was a bit neglected. I have now employed a cleaner, which will enable me to spend more time tending to the garden.

Many thanks for your kind review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Mobile reception is not good in this area unfortunately, but some people find it a relief to escape from their phone for a few days!

Local activities: Walking and cycling in Thetford Forest, with marked walking and cycling trails, children's play areas, cafe, and small shop with maps etc available to buy. High Lodge has bike hire and the Go Ape tree-top assault course. Bird watching - Lakenheath Fen, with a visitors centre is only a couple of miles away. Weeting Heath is one of the best places to see stone curlews, open from April to September. Welney Wildfowl and Wetland Trust includes year round activities, including dawn viewing of thousands of migrating swans in winter. Also an hour away from several reserves on the North Norfolk Coast. Shopping and regional towns - Bury St. Edmunds, Norwich, Kings Lynn and Cambridge are all within an hours drive.

A car is needed due to our rural location. The local train station at Brandon is on the route to Norwich, Ely, Cambridge and London.
