Sunset Koloveas is a traditional stone apt/studio complex at Agios Nikolaos village. The building contains 6 studios with capacity up to 3 people each and 2 apartments with capacity up to 4. The property has a beautiful garden with different kinds of flowers and trees, a swimming pool and a spacious parking. Every room has its own unique view of the sea and mountains. A little taste of The Mani.
I am writing this review as when we booked, I couldn't find any reviews on this property and was a little apprehensive, but needless to say, what a fantastic little complex and we had an absolutely amazing mini break. The complex is on the main coast rd but is very quiet and behind trees & bushes so didn't notice much noise. We had a sea view apt over looking an olive grove and out to sea. Stunning! The apt came with A/C which was an added bonus as we have had to pay in other resorts. A double bed, bunk beds, a kitchenette with everything you would need and even mugs for morning coffee. The shower took a bit of getting used to, as not an overhead attachment but hand held while you try & wash😵💫. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and found water, fruit & biscuits provided. A lovely idea after a long transfer & 2hrs through passport control. The pool area was well maintained and we always managed to get a bed even with full occupancy. Walk through the carpark, turn right through the olive grove until a paved path. Left takes you into Agios Nikolaos with all its amenities, keep walking through the village with the sea to your right, 20 mins is the little beach with 2xbeach bars & sunbeds. Right on the paved path takes you to Stoupa, 40 min walk, a bit more commercialised and the beaches were packed. We enjoyed our taster of The Mani and will return for longer & rent a car next time.
