My wife and I rented this property for 3 months from March this year. The owner Suzie is always on hand to provide assistance when necessary. The Village, Riscle, with its population of only 1200, boasts 7 café-bars/restaurants. All only a few minutes walk from the house! <BR><BR>The main village boulangerie is run by husband and wife team Jean-Luc and Joelle who pride themselves not only on the range and quality of their bread, but on the patisserie they lovingly prepare every day of the week (except Monday when they take a well earned rest – then you walk to the other local boulangerie). <BR><BR>There's a new supermarket run by the Barr's, a local family who pride themselves on their butcher counter, cheese selection and fresh fish on a Friday. With a wide choice of flights, you're sure to find something to suit your dates, location and budget. <BR><BR>Lourdes/Tarbes airport (with flights from Stansted and Manchester) is only 40 minutes away; Bordeaux and Toulouse (with any number of UK flight options) are a 2 hour drive and if you fancy coming in to Biarritz (with flights from Stansted and Dublin) that's an hour and a half's drive. <BR><BR>Alternatively, you could take the ferry option and see a bit of France as you travel. If you opt for the ferry, we can recommend great overnight stops on the way. If you need car hire, or need to be picked up at an airport, just let us know and we can make the necessary arrangements.
