Excellent Holiday
We had a great holiday - plenty of places to explore, lots of walks, and good weather.
The accommodation was very good, comfortable, and well equipped - the courtyard garden with a flowering wisteria was an ideal place to relax! Please note that there is no wifi broadband.

very comfortable cottage and lovely views
Very lovely, comfortable and roomy property, very well located. we found it is in the ideal position for touring this part of France, the views of the lake and the mountains where lovely. The property is in a nice village where the locals are friendly to you, a van arrives outside the gite with fresh bread most days.

A lovely gite in a stunning location
We stayed at Lakeside House for the last two weeks in July. (We being me, husband and two teenaged boys) .The property itself does not look like much from the front, but is spacious, well-presented, clean and well-equipped including a good range of kitchen equipment and board games. There is a small well-stocked library on the back of one of the bedrooms. The courtyard is secluded and pretty. There are three good-sized bedrooms, one of which leads into another.
The only thing we didn't like was the location of the barbecue - it's built into the wall of the house and under vines which have been grown to provide some shade on the patio area. It could do with being a bit further away, although you don't have to use it!!
The gite is about a five minute drive from Lac Salagou, which has an ethereal beauty and a number of easily accessible beaches. We took our dog and a couple of canoes and spent lots of time on the lake. There were not many tourists when we were there either. There is plenty to do in the area, especially if you like walking and canoeing but don't mind a drive to the nearest restaurant (although there is a fish and chip van which spends most of the day in the village).
There is a large cellar space on the ground floor at the front of the house where beach and lake equipment can be easily stored. There's plenty of room for everything.
The dog lost weight with all the swimming but we all put some on with the excellent local wine, bread, and cheese. A bread van comes a couple of times a week and there are also some good vineyards locally which offer degustations.
