Situated in a peaceful location with fantastic sea views across Sandown Bay, and located in the historic setting of Yaverland fort. In just a few minutes walk by coastal footpath or road you will find safe, sandy beaches leading to all local amenities. It is a perfect haven for families and couples to relax and enjoy one of the sunniest spots in the UK, adjacent to the National Trust Bembridge Down and Island coastal path with spectacular views of Culver Cliff and across Sandown Bay. There are many miles of cycle routes and walkers' pathways both on the coast and inland. There are no facilities on this quiet site. The former on-site clubhouse building is currently being renovated to reveal the small Napoleonic fort structure by removing the more modern add-on buildings. The amenities of Sandown are within walking distance, from the nearby Yaverland Cafe, the famous IOW Zoo, Dinosaur Isle, lots of cafés and beach front bars, and a level walk all the way from Yaverland along the esplanade and revetment to the pretty seaside town of Shanklin. In this well-appointed chalet decorated in a seaside style we have provided very comfortable accommodation with open plan lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a modern shower room with a quadrant shower cubicle, electric shower, toilet and hand basin. The lounge has a corner sofa bed, dining table with 4 chairs, and a large flat screen TV with Freeview and free Netflix, and full length mirror. The kitchen includes a ceramic hob, fan oven/grill, extractor hood, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, small appliances, equipment and utensils needed for holiday cooking and dining. Seascape is beautifully decorated in a seaside style, light and airy and renovated to a superior standard. Bedroom 1 is designed for a comfortable night’s sleep with quality furnishings including a full size double bed with a luxury mattress, bedside tables, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has full size bunk beds and storage shelves. Anti-allergenic pillows and duvets are provided in both rooms. Good quality bed linen is provided at no extra charge for both bedrooms and beds are made up for you. Towels are not provided. The chalet has electric heaters and partial underfloor heating. There is a heated towel rail in the bathroom. All blackout window blinds are fitted with children's safety in mind. There is a grassed area outside the chalet, and garden chairs and table are provided so that guests can soak up the Island sunshine while enjoying the sea view across Sandown Bay, listening to the sounds of the nearby waves. Children can play happily on the grass under the watchful eye of their parent/carers. Free parking nearby. Electricity is at an extra cost via a coin meter taking new £1 and £2 coins. Change-over day is Saturday during main school holidays, but any day throughout the rest of the year. Please also see our other chalets Ocean Decks ID 6939595, Sandy Shores ID 7315837 which have been decorated in a similar light and airy coastal decor. We accept dogs in Ocean Decks at an extra charge and subject to terms and conditions. Please ask for details. Our guests are kindly requested to arrive from 4pm and to vacate by 10am, so that our housekeeper will have time to get our chalets ready for the next guests. Guests are requested to leave the chalet in a clean and tidy condition. We are pleased to be able to offer all our guests discounted Red Funnel vehicle ferry travel, Please contact us if you would like further information. Please note that due to restrictions imposed by TripAdvisor we are unable to provide this until full balance of the holiday has been paid, and this is regrettably beyond our control. Interaction with guests
We will contact guests approximately 7-10 days prior to arrival date to send directions to Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, how to find Seascape, the WiFi pass code and information about the chalet that you might find useful. We will also send you the code for the key safe so that you can let yourself into Seascape on arrival and get settled in at your own pace. A folder inside Seascape contains much more information, we suggest that you take the time to read this through soon after your arrival to ensure you get the best from your stay. There is lots to read about the area eg places to eat and drink, nearest cash machine, shops etc. We live locally so are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

About the neighborhood
Yaverland - this magnificent beach at one end of Sandown Bay is characterised by the craggy cliffs and clean, crisp waters. Quieter than the other beaches between Sandown and Shanklin, Yaverland offers safe swimming, sandy beach, and fossil hunting by the cliffs. The beach can be reached within a few minutes walk from the site by coastal path or road, and also has a car park and cafe for those what want it. The Isle of Wight is a regular holder of the sunshine record in the country having an almost sub tropical climate. Yaverland is within the Isle of Wight's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Getting around
The diamond shaped Isle of Wight measures just 23 miles by 13 miles, and has 57 miles of beautiful coastline. It is also England's largest island. The Island has over 477 miles of roadways and over 500 miles of pathways and cycleways. There are also 203 scheduled monuments, 60 ancient monuments and 1910 listed buildings. The Military Road (A3055) has been voted in the top 10 of best scenic roads in the UK. It runs from Chale to Freshwater Bay, and runs almost along the cliff edge with the sea to one side, rolling Downs on the other. At high points you can see the whole coast all around you.
