We booked this property primarily due to it's location with towns of interest and activities in every direction. I was also interested in the wide variety of fishing this area has to offer although this would be better suited before or after the heat of summer. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was modern, spotlessly clean and most importantly had thick stone walls so that it stayed cool inside. We thoroughly...

The cottage is spotless and self-contained, set amid the fields and farms growing melons and stone fruit for which this area is known. There is plenty of space for children to explore nature, and for parents to relax in the almost guaranteed sunshine. Being 10 minutes from the market town of Caussade, it is a good base from which to tour the rest of the department, or region. For us, 2 children and 2 adults,...

This is a beautiful cottage with amazing views over the rolling countryside. We went for a cycling trip - this part of France is perfect for cycling with quiet, well-paved roads and rolling hills travelling through sunflower fields and medieval villages. It would be just as lovely for walking and bird watching. The owners are great - helpful and bilingual. Local trips and food are fab.

Our stay At Nightingale Cottage began with a warm welcome from Heather and Geoff, plus a basket of goodies including homemade jam. The location was peaceful and quiet, but ideally situated for short daily trips to interesting places such as Bruniquel, Montpezat and St. Antonin Noble Val. Caussade had a big supermarket with everything we needed. The cottage was beautifully restored and provided us with every convenience. We really felt at home here and, despite...
