Patio with garden bench, table and chairs.

Gazebo/summer house with table, chairs and panoramic views.

Bed Linen and Towels are provided.
Beautiful place to stay - all as advertised. The views are very special and very easy to walk into Ramsey. Comfortable, clean, warm and will be returning as soon as we can.

Wonderful
Excellent house right by the beach. Very spacious and fully equipped. Nice surprise of a bottle of wine and milk to welcome us! Quiet and peaceful. Lovely beds and towels. Slight problem with hot water when we arrived but was put right very quickly and efficiently. Absolutely great. Would love to go again.

Great views and sunrises
Stayed here for a week in May. Fantastic location. Very spacious property with everything we needed. Short walk in to Ramsey town which is nice. Great links to the mountain railway and Douglas. Easy access to the mountain circuit too. Owners are great and good communication before we arrived. Would recommend and would stay again.

We loved the views especially from the summer house where we spent most of our time. Loved an evening meal there with a bottle of wine - perfect. The garden was relaxing and we loved watching the birds. The bungalow had everything we needed and was warm & cosy in spite of the large rooms. The beach was easy to reach & enjoy and it was good to park the car so close. We loved our stay at Kilmuir and can't recommend it enough. We hope to stay again when we next visit the IOM

Everything you could need is here, very comfortable and superb location !
The fact that this was our fourth time at Kilmuir speaks for itself ! Set in a superb quiet location within its own garden. The gazeebo is a delight, recently renovated to a high standard, we often enjoyed morning coffee or afternoon tea there.
The downstairs bathroom is superb and has proved to be a godsend for my disabled wife.
Gareth has provided a wealth of information about the island. No matter what your interest you will find it covered here. Even though centered at Ramsey in the north of the island access is easy to all other areas. A jewel that we first found in 2015 !

Perfect Place to Stay
This was our second visit to Kilmuir. We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect. The views are incredible, the house has everything you could wish for. Gareth is just an amazing host - excellent information prior to arrival and so helpful. I can’t wait to go back.

EXTREME COMFORT & LUXURIOUS SPACE
Ten Minutes walk from Ramsey centre; close to a stop on the amazing tramway to Douglas. Glorious countryside around as well as the beach close to the front garden. From the windows terrific views of Southern Scotland and the whole of the Lake District.
Very roomy acommodation, enough bathrooms for everyone and a well furnished kitchen. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds.
We have hired dozens of cottages all over the British Isles & I think this one was probably the best.

Peaceful Location
What a wonderful location, so close to such an amazing expanse of beach, close enough to walk into the centre of Ramsey, variety of shops, restaurants, cafes.
Kilmuir is a superb property, spacious lounge, Kitchen with Microwave and Dishwasher and Utility room with a Washing Machine, Three good size bedrooms , Two with superb views overlooking the Seafront and Queens Pier. But best of all was the Gazebo in the Garden, sitting in there in the evening and watching the tide coming in. We had a most relaxing, peaceful holiday. And certainly recommend this property.

Definitely recommend!
Fantastic location, lovely house filled with everything you could possibly need. Such a brilliant place to stay we may well come again! And many thanks to the owners with being so prompt to reply to any messages and so kind and thoughtful throughout the stay.

A wonderful and quiet location a few paces from the beach. Go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the sea and enjoy the excellent views across Ramsey Bay and over to the English Lake Distirict.
A 10-15 minute walk takes you into the town and access to shops, pubs and restaurants. If the tide is out you can walk to and from the town along the beach.

Car not needed
How to get there
Car not needed but preferable. Can hire a car at the airport - best to book online prior to arrival for best deals. Public transport is good but you will need to check whether it will fit in with your travel times.
During the Summer months (a fine, warm day is preferable!), a favourite way to travel is from the Sea Terminal along Douglas Promenade by Horse Tram, then catch the Electric Railway (tram) along the coast all the way to Ramsey. If you ask to be dropped at Ballure Glen (they may let you get off)), you can walk down the path by the stream through the archway onto the beach, turn left along the beach and then up the short path to Kilmuir!
