This luxury self catering apartment is all about location. With its prime position on Douglas Promenade it boasts exceptional views of Douglas Bay and the harbour. 5 minute drive from the Ferry Terminal, 25 minutes from Ronaldsway Airport. A short walk along the waterfront to the town centre and the varied restaurants on the quayside. Public transport within 20 metres of the property.
The Electric Railway is a 15 minute walk away. Horse Trams run frequently during the season.
Beautiful apartment with amazing sea views. It’s very well-equipped (including washer/drier and a lovely bathroom with a wall-in shower and plenty of storage) and very comfortable. It was also in a great position for us: we walked or used the horse tram along the Promenade for the electric railway and the steam trains and used the bus (stop is directly opposite the apartment) to explore the island. We did use the car too and knowing we had a secure parking space to come back to was great.
The weather was rainy on several days and so we tended to go to restaurants close to the apartment, rather than walking far. We’d definitely recommend Aura (Indian) and Pico’s (Mexican) a few minutes walk along the Promenade toward the Electric Railway end. We also enjoyed meals at the Majestic (Chinese) and Haneffes in the other direction.
We loved the Isle of Man and found plenty to do on both sunny and rainy days. We particularly enjoyed House of Mannanan in Peel on a rainy day and Castletown and Castle Rushen on a beautiful sunny one. The apartment was a great base but also a really pleasant time to spend time - one day we even decided to just stay in, watch the Olympics and enjoy looking at the sea.
We’d highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Margaret for making us so welcome (and apologies again for the last morning panic!!!)

CRACKING PLACE TO STAY IN DOUGLAS
A lovely 3rd floor apartment overlooking the beach with underground parking and only a short walk from the town centre. Nicely appointed and kept by the owner Margaret who gives a warm welcome on arrival - plus a welcome pack of essentials and cake. The comings and goings along the Prom & beach is better than the tv! What’s not to like?

Truly excellent
Very comfortable and well appointed apartment. Fabulous views and brilliant location. Ideal in every way. Welcome pack and cake a pleasant bonus. Margaret is an exceptional host - nothing is too much trouble. No hesitation in recommending - we definitely hope to return. Thank you.

Fantastic apartment, stunning views.
The apartment was lovely and the views stunning. Nothing could be improved and we appreciated the welcome pack and the cake. The position was perfect for getting all the transport available. We enjoyed getting on all the trains and trams.
We can recommend The Terminal pub for Sunday roast and bar snacks, delicious. The Majestic Chinese was also very good. We didn't enjoy Mo Jo's fish and chips.
Do not rely on Elegance Taxis, didn't turn up to take us to the ferry and no phone call,also dropped us at the wrong place on arrival. We told them Best Western Palace Hotel so they couldn't say they could find the apartment. Very poor.
Would recommend the apartment to anyone and hope to be back in the future.

Douglas Isle of Man holiday
The flat was first class great location everything we needed we found our host Margaret very helpful and generous with the welcome package plus the carrot cake was beautiful basement parking was a big plus also. We usually go to cottages off the beaten track but we seen this and thought we would try it glad we did Douglas was a great base to see the island from.

Fabulous
Great apartment. Great views and a wonderful host. Underground parking was a real asset. The welcome food package was unexpected but a nice touch. All in all 10 out of 10.

Promenade apartment

Lovely seafront apartment
We spent a week in this lovely apartment. It was in a good location, about a 20 minute walk to the town centre along the prom. Buses were very frequent and we used these to go all over the island. Clean, comfortable and great views of the bay. Margaret met us on arrival and made us welcome (the home made cake was a nice thought and much appreciated). There was some road noise from traffic along the seafront bit it didn't disturb us and the view more than made up for this. The apartment had everything needed for self-catering (the kitchen was very-well equipped) and there was a Spar nearby plus M&S in the town centre.
Thank you Margaret, we had a lovely week.

Flat with a view
We had an amazing time .The flat is perfect the views from every window of the sea .Margaret the host was first class to deal with and very helpfulI We arrived to a find essential items .And of course one of Margaret’s gorgeous cakes .The flat had everything you needed .The shower room was large. The underground parking was a bonus although you could also park on the promenade
The small balcony was lovely to sit on and watch the world go by .We we’re very fortunate and had a calm crossing.And good weather all week .Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Good location, comfortable flat
Spacious, nicely furnished, modern & well-maintained flat with very useful, easily accessible underground carpark space included. comfortable kingsize bed, lovely modern bathroom with great walk-in shower & nicely furnished balcony with wonderful views over Douglas beach. Nice touches from Margaret, the owner: essentials in fridge, homemade cake & a Nespresso machine with tons of pods. Flat is on a main road so traffic noise from around 6am - difficult to sleep with windows open. Location very residential & very few restaurants within walking distance - be prepared to drive to dinner. Street parking in Douglas is no problem in the evening.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you could not find restaurants close by and don't quite understand. The Palace Hotel which is next door has two Restaurants, there are 2 pubs within 10 mins walk, all restaurants on the Quay Side are 15-20 mins away and there are various other venues both sides of the Promenade. I wish you had made telephone contact at the time and I would have pointed you in the right direction.

The bus stop is just across the road, the horse tram runs up and down, the Electric Railway is 10 minutes walk and the Steam Railway about a 20 minute walk from the property.
