Absolutely wonderful time in Bowness at this lovely cottage. It was Christmas and the dining table was fantastic for hosting! The kitchen had everything we needed to serve a lovely Christmas lunch. The house had everything. It was warm and cosy. I couldn’t fault anything. We will definitely be back, it was right in the centre too just a two minute walk to the nearest shops and restaurants.

Lovely cottage lots of amenities close by. Very clean and cosy, good for families and couples. A short stroll to Windermere.

On arrival we found everything we needed, washing up stuff, kitchen roll, salt, pepper. There was also a selection of board games and DVDs. Cottage is a perfect size for a family of 4. The location is fantastic. Parking is a little tricky and had to park in the next street up on the first night but the following morning the space outside became free, didn't have an issue after that. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous, sunny, week long Holiday in the Lake District. Staying in Rowan Cottage, Bowness on Windermere, great, very central accommodation. The cottage had everything you need and more to rest your weary bones and be ready for the next days adventure.

Firstly my gripe. Arrived after a 3.5 hour car journey, housekeeper at the property. Knocked introduced myself advised didn't want to check in aware wasn't until later. Asked about parking, notices for street permit only. Given permit great. Then asked if I could nip to loo was told NO! And was informed was a public loo at the bottom of the street. I was then scolded for standing in the hall on a wet floor. what a discourtes lady. However that aside lovely cottage. Clean, central location, everything you could need and more. Safe garden for dogs. Nice touch of fresh milk,tea coffee biscuits, ice in the freezer all in arrival. Would definitely recommend.

Rowan cottage is a lovely cottage, in a fantastic location, and with everything you need. We also dropped on with the weather, it was glorious..we will certainly be returning.

Just returned from 2nd stay at Rowan Cottage and would not stay anywhere else if available Great location and well appointed cottage with everything you need taken care of and pet friendly which is a bonus Just of the main road with a lovely Italian restaurant next door(Rastelli's well worth a visit) Could not fault and will happily book again especially if we can repeat the fantastic weather!!!

We arrived early but found the cottage already ready which was a nice bonus Rowan cottage is well positioned 2 minutes from all the shops and bars in Bowness but on a side street next to a fabulous Italian Restaurant It was lovely inside well maintained and with all amenities you would need We managed to lock ourselves out on day 2 but thanks to Tracey and Phil from the company we were soon back inside Only thing preventing 5 stars was the front bedroom was quite noisy from traffic passing on the main road even though this was at least 50 yards away.We decided to sleep in the backroom after the first night One suggestion would be a light outside the front door as quite tricky getting key out of lock safe in the dark Had a great stay loved the cottage and bowness is always good and would happily stay at Rowan cottage again

We have stayed in Rowan cottage 3 times over the past few years and it continues to impress us! It is a perfect location for those wanting to explore the south lakes, so close to many walks, waters and activities. We also really enjoyed being so close to great pubs and restaurants after a long days walk there is nothing better than a short walk from the house to a lovely range of country pubs with local ales and great food. The house is also fully equipped with everything that you need to cook at home too if you'd prefer. We will definitely be back and will continue to recommend it to friends and family! Thank you

Love this little cottage. Everything has been thought of. The internet is fast and most important for me- no second hand pans. The non stick frying pans really are non stick! Dishwasher works a treat! Bowness is perfect for the lakes, loads to do in the area and if you are snowed in there is a Sainsbury's, Tesco and Coop within walking distance. Small cinema 50 yards away. Italian restaurant next door. It's quiet and warm and has parking in the street. Parking does get a bit hard at the weekends. We took two dog's and the house is very Dog friendly. We will be back next year no doubt. The Lakes can be expensive for food but there is a large Aldi in Kendal, worth a visit to stock up.
