Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Craiglarach cottage is a charming, well-appointed, well maintained Victorian detached cottage on the outskirts of Aboyne village. Secluded but not remote, and with stunning views of fields, woods and hills from the sitting room window, to watch and enjoy the wild life of deers, birds and red squirrels that visit the garden. The River Dee is a short walk away, and the shops and pubs/cafes in Aboyne are under a mile away.

A cottage of character with all our needs fulfilled. Roe Deer in the garden - silence apart from the sound of the river nearby.

It was spacious and would comfortably accommodate a family of four or two couples. The kitchen was well organised with everything you would require to cook a meal and there was a separate breakfast room overlooking...

A little difficult to find (don't rely on Satnav), but it's a real gem. The cottage looks out over (up to) field, forest and mountain and is very well equipped - everything you could need in the kitchen, including consumables like paper towel and dishwasher tablets - as well as spotlessly clean. There is a glassed-in conservatory for breakfast and...
