We stayed in Derrydoon during a lovely week in April. The cottage was a great base to explore Fermanagh and particularly Lough Erne.
Mary was a great host, providing useful information ahead of our stay to ensure we had a great time. The cottage was really lovely, modern, clean and well equipped. The location beside a lake was stunning and very quiet and peaceful.

A welcoming and very well located cottage
The chalet is comfortable and very well equipped. It was immaculately clean.
Magnificent view of the river.
Very nice place to spend a quiet moment at the edge of the water.
Mary listens and answers all questions with kindness.

Beautifully appointed and equipped cottage
We stayed at Derrydoon from 28th December 2022 until January 2023. The cottage was very spacious, spotlessly clean and amazingly well equipped for every eventuality including the wet weather !! Everything you could expect and more was provided by Mary the host. We were the grandparents from Edinburgh and stayed there with two young grandchildren and their parents from Dublin. Everyone loved the cottage and its proximity to Lough Erne and the grandchildren loved going to the waters edge to play with the ducks and swans. We found plenty to do in the local area despite the weather. The final seal of approval was given by the children who did not want to go home. We would thoroughly recommend Derrydoon.

Magnificent.
Derrydoon cottages in Galloon Enniskillen,Co.Fermanagh we’re magnificent ,plenty to do,great accommodation,all mod cons catered for,Refreshments and snacks on arrival,very welcoming place.Mary was a great host friendly and helpful.Nearby attractions were great the water taxi with captain Brian was really great on lough Erne and a great laugh.The Marble Arch caves was a lovely place josh was a very good tour guide.The stairway to heaven is a great walk also ant well worth doing.Also enniskillen castle was a nice visit.Overall a great place to visit with plenty to see and great scenery and friendly people.Well worth the visit.

Very peaceful
We stayed in this well equipped peaceful cottage in June. I have never written a review about any of the properties we have stayed in but I felt this one definitely deserved it. The bungalow is tastefully decorated and well equipped throughout. There is plenty of room for 6 adults and the scenery around it is wonderful,just the place to relax and get away from it all. The owners are very attentive and left a welcome basket for us on arrival.

Peaceful holiday
I have never left a review before on any of the places we have stayed but I felt this cottage needed to be highlighted. Very peaceful well equipped bungalow in a beautiful setting, just the ticket to get away from it all. Plenty of room to accommodate 6 people easily . The owner was very helpful and left a lovely welcome basket on our arrival.

Fabulous place to stay!
What an amazing cottage:it has everything you need! Spotless and in a perfect location for water lovers! We managed to hire a boat and explore the islands of loch Erne, go on a kayaking tour, kayak straight from the private jetty, saw some amazing views on the scenic routes and so so much more. It is a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful sights of Ireland and with everything you could want. Thank you so much for letting us stay.

The most amazingly peaceful setting
We are just home from the most amazing week at this peace of heaven.
Everything that you could need is at hand every detail from cleaning to utilities to guest information book was second to none amazing hosts. We will be back.

Peaceful cottage
A lovely peaceful location beside the Lough. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and made good use of the adjacent jetty. Mary provided us with all the info we needed and answered out queries promptly.

There are 4 cottages located on this site, of which this is cottage number 1. Nearest village is Newtownbutler (2 miles which has shops, 2 supermarkets, a cashpoint, garage and two pubs).
Lisnaskea is 6 miles away has larger supermarket, banks and good shops.
Enniskillen is 20 miles away. Being the County City it has major department stores and a busy and thriving highstreet. Property is within 4 miles of Crom Estate. Florencecourt and Castle Coole within 16 miles. Marble Arch Caves and Cuilcagh Boardwalk within half an hour.

From Lisnaskea.
Follow the road to Newtownbutler (A34). When you get to Newtownbutler head straight across the
mini roundabout towards Cavan / Dublin.
After 300 yards just past the church take the right fork in the road signposted Galloon Island.
Follow the road for approximately 2 miles to a crossroads.
Head straight on towards Galloon Island / Galloon Jetty (1.25 miles)
After approx 3/4 mile there is a sharp right hand bend, then a soft left hand bend.
As you come out of that bend you will see Derrydoon Cottages on your left hand side.
