Herrieffs Cottage
We stayed for three nights in the cottage and would like to return for a longer visit. The cottage is tastefully furnished and very comfortable, it has everything you need. The kitchen and lounge are spacious. Our dogs stayed with us and felt at home straight away. It’s situated in a quiet area with a pub just across the road which unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit.I was sad that we didn’t get a piece of cake but maybe that was for guests that stayed for longer!

Short midweek break
Well what can I say about this idyllic cottage, lets start with Mary and Justin what a lovely genuine couple very warm and welcoming, they are onsite to meet and greet you and have a great knowledge of the area. On entering the grade 2 listed building the interior is in keeping with the age of the building but they have managed to blend new with old contemporary furnishings. There was everything you might need and more so you can have a relaxing time. They also allow your pets to come along and stay which is a bonus although their is an additional charge of £4 per day which is very reasonable considering we took our Great Dane with us. There are some fantastic walks in the countryside which is teething with wildlife including deer, foxes pheasants and lots more. I’m afraid the saddest part of our stay was when we had to leave. But as the saying goes I’ll be back very soon.

What a lovely cottage!
We were less than 20 minutes from our family, so visiting daily was easy. Also the grocery stores were only about 10 minutes away. We had friends that live just a few houses down, so lots to do and see. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals when we were there. The bed was comfortable and the sitting room a great place to relax and work on my computer. WiFi service was consistent. Mary was a great hostess and helped us out when I plugged in an outlet that blew the fuse. Top notch place to stay.

Comfortable retreat into the country.
Located in the friendly village of North Newington, which has usual charms of the area. The cottage is truly delightful. Everything is available that you could possibly want and Mary's welcome was charming and relaxed - fruitcake was delicious! Herrieffs Cottage was beautiful inside - immediately made you feel at home. We want to return as soon as we can, for a longer period next time.
