The cottage is a charming freshly decorated period property in the Peak District. On one side of the cottage are the spectacular peaks of Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill and on the other are heather clad moors of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Free wi-fi and a satellite for the televisions are available.<BR>The market towns of Leak, Buxton, Ashbourne and Bakewell are all an easy drive, each having their own market days.<BR>Hollinsclough is beside the River Dove and is a walk away from the village of Longnor which boasts four pubs and various eating places.

On arrival we were impressed with the location, the scenery was outstanding. Unfortunately the cottage is a little bit tired and in need of a deep clean. In the long term it needs a refurbishment/update.

Many thanks for your review. I have just sorted out a better cleaning regime which involves a regular deep clean. We also will have additional help between back to back visits to use the few hours between arrival and departures better. We have also updated some of the kitchen equipment. After much research, I booked this beautiful looking cottage as it offered peace and quiet in an unspoilt part of the Peak District. Management response:

Yes, we have implemented a fuller cleaning system with more time allowed for it between tenants. We have also replaced a good deal of the equipment and furnishing in the cottage. You can park by the cottage gate as you unload and then the car can be moved to within 50 yards of the cottage.
