The farm road has been recently resurfaced The Granary provides an ideal centre for walking or cycling holidays. For the walkers there is easy access to the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, the Radnorshire Hills and Offas Dyke Path and for the cyclists there are an increasing number of cycle routes particularly in the Brecon Beacons National Park where there are cycle routes for all ages and abilities. For nature lovers, from the Granary windows there is an uninterrupted view of the lower fields of the farm with the chance of seeing badgers, foxes and other wild animals and birds in a totally natural environment. For those visitors who are interested in history the old county of Radnorshire, now part of Powys, is part of the Welsh Marches, the historic border between England and Wales. There are many castles in the area, the nearest in Painscastle and more information can be obtained from the 'Castles of Wales' web site. There are also historic cathedrals at Brecon and Hereford the latter the home to the Chain Library and the Mappa Mundi. The Granary is fully booked for the Hay Festival but B&B is available in the main house.More

Beautiful cottage with stunning views
Charming cottage with bonus of grand sized sitting room and master bedroom. Comfortable and well equipped to easily accommodate 4 people. Views are incredible from all aspects thanks to its rural setting. Lots of river and hill walks on the doorstep, with river based water activities and horse riding nearby and easy access (though roads and lanes are tiny) to many good quality gastro pubs, cafes, and non high street shops. Hay is 10/15 minutes drive away. Our teenagers loved being based on a working farm, with birds, beautiful horses and characterful dogs to watch and interact with. As the weather was superb during our stay, the garden, swing ball, BBQ and trampoline were much appreciated. However, the views are so good from the enormous windows in the bedroom and sitting room with perfectly positioned and comfortable seating, the weather doesn't matter! The owners gave us a very warm welcome and lots of valuable information and advice about the area.

Lovely Cottage - Amazing Views - Highly Recommended
We spent an amazing week at the cottage. The cottage is VERY spacious, clean and well equipped. Hot water was always available. The views are amazing. Peter & Tricia were lovely and you could imagine the cottage could be their home as it is very nicely furnished. They were very helpful and gave us lots of useful information about the area. We'd happily spend another week there.

LOVELY HOUSE AND GREAT VIEW
The house is spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and the view on te Welsh countryside, through te wide plate glass window, is exceptional. The welcome of the owners is very warm and we feel fast at home. We also enjoyed the show of the birds which came to peck at the corn near the window of the dining room. It is really a quiet and charming place.

Lovely house in beautiful countryside
A warm welcome, comfortable, spacious, well-maintained and pretty accommodation with superb views over the Welsh countryside - what's not to like? We had a lovely long weekend at Glyn Farm Granary and recommend it unreservedly.

A lucky find.
Having been on many self-catering holidays in the UK over the past twenty years Glyn Farm stands out as a real gem. As well as being in a lovely and quiet location with stunning views, the accommodation was extremely clean and well equipped and excellent value for money. We found Peter and Tricia, the owners, to be extremely friendly and very helpful when our car battery failed just as we were about to start out on our journey back home! We would definitely book the Granary again should we return to Hay-on Wye. Our dog would certainly like us to because he just loved it there - especially the top field where he was able to run for all he was worth!

Lovely, peaceful but real "living" place
This cottage is "on the farm", but it's not noisy. Even the Rooster was very quiet, no sleep disturbance at all! The Family, and the dogs are very very friendly and good fun, we had some really nice chats. The location is stunning, and the view from the living room is exceptional, and there is much to explore in the area, not just lovely Hay on Wye. And there is a Woodpecker family who visit the feeders next to the living room window. I was part working, so the Wifi was essential, as it is for all our cottage choices. The rooms are very comfortable and huge with loads of space for at least 4 people, and there are 3 bathrooms available over the 3 floors. We had a lovely time, the only negative is that, although the owners really try and keep out of your way, and are lovely. It's not as private as maybe we would have liked.

The perfect getaway. I can't wait to go back to this idyllic cottage with breathtaking views.
The design of this cottage takes full advantage of its stunning location, with its spectacular view of the Radnorshire hills. We spent a fun-filled week horse riding, walking, browsing books in Haye-on-Wye and enjoying the many local hostelries, before heading home to soak up that view. The hosts could not have been more welcoming or discreet. We can't wait to go back.

B&B at Hay Festival
We stayed in the main farmhouse and the rooms are very comfortable. The welcome was excellent, with lots of local knowledge and offers of help. The breakfasts were delicious and substantial and my vegetarian friend was catered for. But best of all are the views of the surrounding Welsh Hills. Thank you Tricia and Peter
